Vincent didn’t respond to Maya’s question. He couldn’t. Not when she was right. However, only he and Ariana knew the circumstances behind their marriage and though Maya was his friend, it wasn’t safe to tell her about the contract. It wasn’t that he doubted her loyalty to him. He didn’t want to put her in trouble as Michael and Claudia could do anything to get information from those close to him. Her thinking that the marriage was real was best for everyone.
