The underground cellars were dug up way before my time. My great-great-grandfather had initially made them for food storage. Back then it was more of survival of the fittest and so they had to store food and resources very carefully otherwise it got stolen. Over the years, as things got better, the cellar was converted into holding cells for rogues until we figured out what to do with them. But even after the changes were made it was still dark and ugly down there. We walked down the dark tunnel that was very narrow and steep. It was obviously not designed well, to begin with. Thanks to our ability to see in the dark, we didn’t need lights. The soil always felt damp and it smelt mossy.
