Chapter 9: Girl Fights (Leigh's POV) Dakota was standing in front of the door with a murderous look on her face when I asked, "What do you want Dakota? I have to get to class and don't have time for your shit." "You think you can come in here and take whatever you want b***h. Oliver is mine and has been for over a year now." She screams at me. "Oliver is not yours. He's also not mine. He isn't anyone's yet. But for now, he's having fun with me. So get over your skank ass self." I growled back at her. She pulled out what looked like a silver knife at these words and came at me. I deflected the knife with my left arm and slammed her against the door. I did this multiple times until she was unconscious. I noticed then that she did slightly nick my arm with her blade as I had a thin trail of blood running down my arm. I grabbed a paper towel as I mind-linked Jace about cleaning up the mess in the bathroom. He told me he had it under control and to head to class. I think he will make a great Beta Alpha. I made it to Ancient History after the bell rang and my normal seat was already filled. The only available seat was to Oliver's right. I wonder how he managed this one but let it slide. He growled as I sat down. "What happened." He roared. The entire class about jumped out of their seats at this. "Leave, now" He continued in a deep authoritative voice that sent everyone but me running from the room. It was hot and caused my panties to dampen. He gently grabbed my arm and brought me into his lap before removing the towel I had over my scrape. Due to the silver, it was taking a bit to heal but it was no longer freely bleeding. "It's already being taken care of. No need to..." I didn't get to finish. "Who did this Leigh." He growled cutting me off. f**k why is his Beta tone so hot. I looked down not wanting him to kill anyone today. Jace was already taking care of it. When I looked back at him his eyes were black. "What's your name wolf?" I asked staring straight into the black orbs in front of me. Using my own authoritative tone. "Don't change the subject, Leigh." I pressed my hand against one side of his face and leaned into him and growled directly into his ear, "I asked for your name." I could hear Oliver start to pant, "Lucky. My wolf's name is Lucky." "Hi Oliver, so nice to have you back. Can you please tell Lucky that I appreciate his worry but to watch his tone? My wolf Jade really does not like to be told what to do." I say in a low seductive tone as I turn to straddle him in his seat. "He understands. Now can you tell us who marked that beautiful skin of your's Baby Girl, so we can go rip them limb from limb?" "You will do no such thing. She is already incapacitated and Jace is handling the clean-up." "She? It was f*****g Dakota, wasn't it? I told that b***h to back off or she would be done for." He tries to stand but I just push him back against the chair. "I said it has been handled, Oliver. Let it go, please. For me." I give him a pout and I see him relax finally. "Why do you have to be so hot when you pout." I feel him stiffen below me. I just smile and get up. He deserves it for trying to dominate me. "Where are you going?" "Getting the class back so we can continue now that you have calmed down," I tell him with a sweet smile on my face. "We could have continued without them." He said while visibly adjusting himself. I just ignored him and found everyone cowering down the hall. I got everyone back in and told the teacher to continue. The class was quiet and uneventful from there other than the constant staring that I was getting from Oliver. They would flash between his golden-brown eyes and black. No matter the color they were filled with lust in each and every look. I tried my best all class to keep my eyes forward. I had a feeling that I had over-excited Oliver and he was in his own pain next to me. I didn't need to add to it. His breathing had even become pants by the end of class. Oliver walked me in silence to my next class. Only stopping to kiss me gently before continuing on his way without a word. I just sighed and entered my Calculus class. I hadn't paid attention to the fact that I shared this class with not only Liv but also Sam. Sam came rushing over to me as I entered. "I heard you got attacked. Are you okay, Kitten?" "What?" Liv asked listening in, with a shocked and worried look on her face. "I'm fine just some jealous b***h attacked me with a silver knife in the girl's room. I'm fine. It's over. Jace has already taken care of it. Oliver about lost it in history. So I would appreciate it if everyone just forgot it happened. Okay." "Fine by me. Are you sitting with us at lunch again?" Sam asked pulling me back to sit with her in class. Liv gave me a sad look and returned to her seat in the front. "Sure. Sounds fun." I said looking after Liv. She was my first friend. I don't know why she is upset but I can't do anything about it right now. When the class finished I went to find Liv but she was gone and Sam linked her arm with mine. We walked to lunch and get our food before sitting down. Liv is at the leaders' table, but she seems to be deliberately ignoring me. What did I do? ***(Oliver's POV)*** Leigh is good. She put both me and my wolf in our place today. When she turned and straddled my lap I was all for whatever she wanted me to do. Except drop what Dakota had done to her. I spent the entirety of class keeping Lucky in check. He was torn between finding Dakota and f*****g Leigh here in front of the entire class. She just had to get us worked up before bringing the class back. Now I'm both horny and pissed off. I mind link to Jace and ask him about Dakota. "Dakota's not going to be a problem. Leigh bashed her head in pretty good. Once she gains consciousness she will be taken to the dungeon cells. Nobody f***s with Leigh and gets away with it." Jace responded. You could hear the venom in his voice. He may be just as pissed as I am. "Thanks for taking care of it man. I'd love to kill the little b***h for marking Leigh." "Look here, Oliver. I didn't do this for you. I did it for her. I may be a d**k but no one messes with her. Keep your hoes in line. Next time your past tries to hurt her, it will be your head on the line as well." Jace replied using his Alpha tone, before cutting off and blocking our connection. What the f**k? What did I do? I didn't put Dakota up to this. Jace has been my best friend since we were in diapers. He has never used his Alpha tone on me. He's always complained about Leigh, so I'm happy to hear him defend her. They have had a lifelong competition between them, and sometimes they sound more like siblings than cousins. I spent the rest of class staring at Leigh. She looked hot. Not slutty hot. Today she had toned it down, it's a nice in-between of her slutty outfit from Monday and her sweats from Tuesday. All of her looks are hot. She's that type of beautiful that it hurts to look at. I spent the rest of class trying but failing to not envision what it would be like to get just one taste. To feel her tighten around me while I fill her with my seed. I know my eyes were dancing between golden brown and black. I try to discreetly stroke myself. I keep my eyes trained on Leigh as I do. Breathing in the scent of her perfume mixed with the lingering scent of her arousal from the beginning of class. She keeps stealing glances at me. I know she can see the conflict between me and my wolf and the lust we both hold for her. If she had caught on to what else I was doing, that was unclear. I don't think so. I finally came as the bell rang. I needed to go clean up before my next class but not until after I walked Leigh to class. I kissed her gently before walking away. I was still pissed off about Dakota and didn't want to take my frustration out on her. I made it to my next class just as the bell rang. I had tossed my underwear and was now commando, but at least I was clean. I share this class with Jace and he just glares at me. "What?" I ask as I sit next to him. He just growled at me. "Jace you are my best friend. What did I do?" "What did you do at the pack party, Ollie?" Shit, that feels like a different lifetime ago, but it really has only been five days. "I made a mistake. I was drunk and f****d up. Leigh has let it go. Can you please do the same?" "I will for now. But if it happens again I will rip your head from your shoulders." "Why are you so protective of Leigh. She can handle herself." "It's my job to be protective of her. So f**k off." I tried to ask him what he meant but he just cut me off. He has been acting differently this week. Maybe it's the stress of the upcoming Coronation or maybe that he has only a few days until he can find his mate. I understand that. I don't want to find mine though. Well not for another two months. Leigh is the only one I want as my mate. It's selfish I know. The Moon Goddess will bless me with my perfect mate and blah, blah. My problem is now that Leigh is in the picture, she is my new standard of perfection. I heard on Monday night Jace broke up with Sarah. He told her that he didn't want to have to do it when he found his mate. She apparently flipped out in front of the whole packhouse. He had made it sound like she had no chance of being his mate and she kneed him in the balls for it. The class passed at a snail's pace and when it was finally over I couldn't make it out of the room any quicker than I did. I didn't get far though. Jace grabbed my arm and pulled me off to the side. "Sorry. About earlier. It's been a stressful couple of days and I shouldn't take it out on you. You are my best friend and my Beta. I wish I could..." He trailed off and walked away without another word. He really is acting strange. Because of my chat with Jace, I am late for lunch. I make my way through the line and look around for Leigh. I spot her at the leaders' table. She seems to be in a heated conversation. As I get closer to the table All four of the girls, Leigh, Liv, Sam, and Sarah, are all standing yelling at each other. "You called me the pack w***e now look at yourself. Were you so jealous that you had to take everyone?" Sarah screamed. "I'm not a f*****g w***e you skank." Leigh shot back. "Then maybe you shouldn't act like one," Liv replied. Leigh looked as though Liv had just smacked her. I thought they were friends what's going on. Sam got up to lung at Liv and I took this moment to step in. Garrett growled at me but pulled Sam into his arms to stop her. Jace made his appearance at this time and let out a roar at them all. Sarah quickly shrinks back to her seat. Liv stood nose to nose with Leigh. My sister is braver than I would have thought. Or maybe she is just really stupid. They were both breathing hard. To my surprise, Jace gently grabbed Liv and pulled her into him. "Stop Liv. Please. Not here. Okay?" Liv turned and buried her face in his chest. I mouthed a thank you to Jace. Leigh turned and ran out of lunch. I followed closely behind her. Leigh had pressed herself into a nook between the lockers and was crying when I found her. "Come here, Baby Girl," I told her while placing a hand on her shoulder. She turned and nuzzled herself into my chest still sobbing. "What happened?" "It was stupid. Sarah was running her mouth about the Dakota s**t. Sam jumped into it but... but Liv ." She couldn't continue. "I thought she was my friend. My first real friend. Why would she call me a w***e?" I stroked her cheek and wiped away her tears. "I'm sorry Leigh. Everyone seems to be a little crazy today. I'm sure she didn't mean it. Liv is your friend. I know she is. She just doesn't understand." She looked up at me, her eyes still glistening with tears. Goddess, she looks like an angel. "I'm sorry. I know she's your sister. I shouldn't put you in the middle of this. "She tries to pull away from me, but I just grip her tighter. "I've got to get out of here. I can't handle this. Please let me go." Her voice is sad and barely above a whisper. "Then let's go." I pulled her towards the exit of the school. The rain had thankfully slowed to just a drizzle and I lead us to my truck turning up the heater as Leigh buckles in. "We will come back for your car later." She nodded and once settled in the truck Leigh turned to me asking, "And where are we going?" "To have some fun," I replied with a small smile. Her face dropped into a deep frown before she said, "I'm not in the mood, Ollie." I had just reached the exit as she said this and slammed on my breaks causing her to lurch slightly forward. "What the hell." I growled "Do you really think that low of me, Leigh. I know your upset. I am your friend." She looked at me with sad eyes as if she was going to cry again. I put my arm around her and both leaned in and pulled her to me so our foreheads were touching. "When I said fun, I meant nothing s****l. I know you are not in the mood. I wouldn't do that right now. And it really pisses me off when you call me Ollie." She stared at me open mouth for a moment before she spoke, "I'm sorry. My head is all f****d up right now. I'm not used to dealing with all this. I have never had the chance to really be around people my age. I just..." She started to cry again. I undid her buckle and pulled her into my lap. I let her cry as she buried her face in my neck. Trying my hardest to ignore the fact that her nose kept rubbing against the spot where my mate will mark me as hers. I rubbed her back until she calmed down while whispering soothing words in her ear. "I'm sorry for all of this. You shouldn't have to deal with all my crap." She says as she finally starts to calm. "I want to be here, Leigh. If I didn't I would have just let you go on your own. But I really do care about you. Okay. So if you need me I will be here for you, Baby Girl." I kissed the top of her head and wrapped her in a warm hug. "Why don't you like it when I call you Ollie?" She asks surprising me. "I like the way Oliver sounds when you say it. Everyone else calls me Ollie. I really liked it when you called me babe on the phone the other night." I tell her softly while looking into her beautiful green eyes. She giggled before saying, "Well you call me Baby Girl all the time. I like it. It makes me feel special." A low rumble purred from my chest at her words. "You are special, Leigh," I whispered to her. What is this girl doing to me? I want her, all of her. I want to make her happy. She is all I think about, dream about. I'm falling so hard. When I told her I cared for her I had to choose my words carefully because I really wanted to tell her that I'm falling in love with her. She had moved from my lap while I was deep in thought and returned to her seat. She was blushing from my statement and it made her even more beautiful. "So what did you have in mind for fun?" She innocently asked. I smiled as impure thoughts ran through my mind. I choose instead to tell her what I had originally planned, "Well no one can be sad, while they are playing skee ball." Her face grew to the biggest smile I had seen yet. I was ecstatic that she was happy with my idea.
