Blind Sight

We reached the house and made our way inside. Instantly I was bombarded with pack members willing to speak to me about their problems. I had never felt more wanted before in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I know the triplets wanted and needed me, but there was the mate bond that made them so. The pack wasn’t bonded to me with such a tether, and knowing they sought out my help brought a massive smile to my face. I spoke quickly with almost all of them as Ranger dragged me through the main area to a smaller one where Alpha Tanas and Alpha Gent were relaxing in large lounge chairs that had message features they were taking advantage of.                 They seemed to notice the power shift in the room, both sat up or opened their eyes. When their eyes landed on us they went wide. Alpha Gent’s eyes went dark, at least until Redford and Ranger growled. I had no idea what was going on at first. At least until Red moved to block me from the other Alpha’s.                 Oh yeah. I was naked. All thanks to Nyx.                 “I’m sorry, your Highnesses. I didn’t mean to think like that about my Queen. Please forgive me.” He apologized with his fist over his head and bowed down on one knee.                 Ranger nodded to him. “We understand. Samara’s quite beautiful. We’re just possessive of her.”                 I took the opportunity to try to get back in Red’s favor. I kissed his back a few times, running my hands over his massive build.                 “She is, but that’s no excuse. She’s our Queen, and I need to covet her as such. Not thinking like…I just did.” He admitted.                 ‘Engage this Alpha. Ask about his mate.’ Nyx said as she lifted her head from her paws.                 I peeked around Red’s back. “You haven’t found your mate yet, have you?”                 He shook his head. “No, Luna Queen. I’ve been looking for her, but I’m afraid she’s already gone from this world.”                 ‘No, she’s not. And you can find her, my love.’ I heard Nyx whisper. ‘I can?’                 ‘Follow your instinct. You can make more allies. Be the great Luna I knew you would always become, my love. Get back in our mate’s favor. But warn him, upon rejection, his pack with fall.’ Nyx said before curling up and going back to sleep.                   “Red, if I may?”                 Every male in the room shuddered at my Omega voice. Alpha Tanas looked away with bright red cheeks, Alpha Gent controlled his inner wolf, while Ranger and Red fought to take me right in front of our guests.                 “Please do, Samara.” Red grunted out through a clenched jaw.                 I went to walk over to Alpha Gent, but Rangers hand on my wrist stopped me. I smiled back at him. “I’ve got this.”                 He nodded and let me go.                 With a gentle look on my face I went to stand in front of Alpha Gent. “I can find your mate for you. That is, if you want her. If I lead her to you and you reject her, the Moon Goddess will forsake you and your entire pack. Awful things will befall you, and your pack will be no more.”                 Alpha Gent look up and met my discolored eyes, not bothering to look at my naked body in front of him. “Yes, Goddess. You are the Moon Goddess, aren’t you, my Queen?”                 I smiled down at him. “No, but I have a strong wolf who tells me things. Come, let’s find your mate.”                 (Are we still supposed to be mad at Sam? I don’t think I can resist her.) Ranger said with a slight whine to his voice.                 Red sighed. (She…resist brother…)                         (Are you sure this is the right place, Sam?) Red asked with a raised eyebrow.                 Ranger tilted his head. (Yeah, I don’t see where this is going.)                 I rolled my eyes. (Hush you two. I’m trying to concentrate.)                 Before either of them could say anything more I closed my eyes and tapped into the world around me.                 ‘Good, now. Do you see those threads in front of you?’ Nyx guided.                 I sighed. ‘No, my eyes are closed.’                 ‘Stop being blind. You can see them. Look harder into the darkness.’ She scolded.                 ‘Fine.’ I tried to do what she was saying, but nothing was happening. All I saw was the darkness behind my own eyelids. This was pointless. I wasn’t going to be able to see…any…strings?                 Then they began to appear. One by one I watched as the bright red threads zoomed by me or appeared already attached. This…was incredible! I could see the mate bonds! Physically see them! I looked down to my hands and smiled big. Attached to my left hand was Ranger and Royce’s and to my left was Redford’s. I glanced back at my companions and whimpered. Beau’s was dangling from his wrist and colorless.                 (Sam? Your crying.) Ranger said with worry in his voice.                 I felt a hand wipe away my tear, but to me none of them had moved. I reached down with my left hand and tugged on Ranger’s bond, seeing if he could feel it.                 “Ranger? What’s wrong?” Red asked.                 (What happened?) I asked through the link so I didn’t have to do anything to disrupt my blind sight.                 (I just had a rush though my body that knocked me to my feet.) Ranger sighed.                 Whoops.                 Okay, no more tugging on the triplet’s strings. I looked to Alpha Gent and noticed his was there, but not fully formed. I walked over to it and took it in my hand, examining it for a moment before understanding what I was supposed to do.                 (Tell Alpha Gent that this is going to be a little uncomfortable, but bare though it.) I told the brothers.                 I didn’t wait for a reply. I began to let the string slide through my hand while I followed it. The string lit up as I touched it, and I was getting closer to finding who it belonged too. I could feel the brothers guiding my body, thankfully. Who knows what could have happened. I could have walked off a cliff for all I knew.                   Then I saw her. Stopping I observed her for a moment. She was a pretty little thing, but young. Far younger than Alpha Gent. This was what Nyx meant. The girl had to be around sixteen, maybe seventeen, while Alpha Gent had to be nearing his thirties. Age gaps like this were rare, and usually the elder mate rejects the younger fearing immaturity and unable to cope with having pups at such a young age. Males that old without pups are far more fertile than a mated counterpart of the same age, it’s the wild need to reproduce. This girl, if marked and mated with Alpha Gent would most likely be pregnant the first or second time they mated, and if he was strong enough for knots, then it was a guarantee.                 ‘What should I do Nyx?’ I asked her with a sigh.                 She shrugged her wolfy shoulders at me. ‘They belong together. It’s how the Goddess designed them. The question is, are you going to complete the bond, or sever it?’                 I shook my head. ‘What are you talking about now?’                 ‘Well, you have that power. Do you think the Goddess is right this time, or wrong? Should this young girl be the mate of an old Alpha?’ Nyx questioned me.                 ‘He’s not old, just…older.’ I rubbed the back of my neck. ‘Can’t I let them decide?’                 ‘That’s not how this one is going to work. You see, there is an issue with their bond. Because of their age gap, the bond may never fully form. Leaving two wolves forever alone. Or you can complete the bond for them and risk ruining their lives. Maybe making their lives everything they were meant to be. You don’t know. Neither do I.’ Nyx yawned and curled back into a ball.                 I swallowed hard. ‘I didn’t ask for this, Nyx!’                 She rolled her eyes at me. ‘Welcome to being a Queen, and Nyx.’                 ‘What is that supposed to mean? Nyx! Hello?’                 With that she ignored my pleas for her help. What should I do? Like she said, I could be ruining their lives…or making them a thousand times better. If I don’t complete the bond, they could never find happiness in a mate.                 What should I do?!                 (Samara! Whatever you’re doing, you need to stop!) Ranger’s voice was loud in my head.                 I shook my head at him. (Ranger, stop screaming at me.)                 (Sam, your crying blood.) Redford’s voice was low and I knew he was worried. (If you don’t come out of whatever trance you’re doing, I’m going to make you.)                 (Don’t you dare! I may never be able to get back. I’m fine!) I shouted back at them.                 Okay, I need to think. I looked back to Beau and sighed again. Wait, if I could fix this bond, could I fix Beau’s?                 I went over and lifted his hand to examine the broken strand. It was frayed, signifying that it wasn’t cut like a rejection, but a death. I looked around and could see some wolves that were close, but all had their own strings.                 I’m sorry, Beau. I’ll have to come back for yours.                 I turned and with determination and a deep breath. I went over and grasped Alpha Gent’s mate bond pulling it with me as I went to the girl. It lit up in my hands all the way to an inch away from her wrist. I leaned in and placed a light kiss on her forehead.                 I’m not making a mistake, neither did the Goddess. This is your fate, this is your mate.                 Suddenly I felt like my whole world was shaking, and it kind of was. I opened my eyes to see Redford with an irritated look over his scruffy face, but I still smiled.                 “Hey handsome.”                 He shook his head at me. “You need to stop making us worry over you.”                 I snickered. “Come on, that’s half my job as your wife.”                 “Luna Queen? What happened? I feel…” Alpha Gent asked as he clutched his heart.                 I looked over quickly. “Yeah, sorry about all that pulling. I had to fix your mate bond. It wasn’t fully formed, but it should be better now. Try to sense her out.”                 He blinked a few timed before closing his eyes and inhaling deeply. After another moment, his eyes shot open and he looked to the clothes lines. “I found her…”                 “Keep an open mind. The Goddess is never wrong.” I said trying to wipe the blood from my face.                 Ranger rolled his eyes before stripping off his shirt and handing it to me. “Here, baby.”                 “Thank you, da-sweet husband.” I nearly called him daddy in front of everyone and bit down on my lip.                 (Don’t worry, soon you’ll be screaming it when I knot you.) Ranger smirked as he linked me.                 (Can’t wait.) I gave him a wink while we all followed behind Alpha Gent.                         The women and few men at the clothes lines all looked over in our direction, except one. I leaned against Red as we walked, while holding Rangers hand. Alpha Gent stopped and locked onto his target.                 “Mate.” He said in his low Alpha voice, catching everyone’s attention.                 There she was, the girl I saw in my blind sight. She was taller for her age with porcelain skin, long legs, short messy black hair, and olive-green eyes. When their eyes met she smiled sweetly.                 “Mate?” She asked, dropping the clothes she had in her hand.                 We watched as she made her way over to us like she was in a trance. Her hand outstretched to take his, but a loud voice echoed through the field.                 “What’s going on?!”                 A tall, kind of scary looking man was storming his way over in our direction, facial features were similar to the girls. It had to be the father or brother.                 He looked to see Ranger, Red, and me, and instantly changed his demeanor.                 “Forgive me, your highnesses. I didn’t see you three there. May I ask, what is going on.” He bowed down on one knee before straightening.                 I nodded. “You may, your daughter is the mate of our ally Alpha Gent. I brought him down here to find her.”                 (His name’s Boron, and she is Sofie.) Ranger told me.                 Boron raised an eyebrow. “How is that possible, she just turned seventeen a few days ago. How could she know she’s someone’s mate so soon?”                 I gave a reassuring smile. “I know this is a lot to take in right now. Being a father, you worry for your pup. If you feel angry, feel it towards me. I had the chance to let their bond die off, but instead I helped it along its way. I took their mate bond in my hand and let Alpha Gent to your daughter, Sofie. The Goddess wanted them together for a reason, and I couldn’t let that go. I know Sofie is young, but we Omega’s are resilient and strong. Look at me, I have three Kings. Your pup can handle one little Alpha. But this is her decision, and his.”                 Boron let out a deep breath before looking over to Sofie and Gent, who already looked ten steps deep into love. He smiled a little. “I could never feel angry towards you, my Queen. If you can truly see the bonds that connect us, then thank you for healing my daughter’s. She deserves happiness, and that love from a mate. You truly are a Goddess, and you have my family’s loyalty. I guess we have a wedding and ceremony to plan. If they-“                 We all looked over to see them lip locked and completely ignoring our presence. I tipped my head back and looked up to my mates. “I think that’s our cue to leave.”                 “Yep.” Ranger and Red turned us and we headed to the house.                 I knew I had to say something to Beau. It was eating at me.                 “Beau?”                 I broke free of my mates and went to his side.                 He smiled a little at me. “Yes, Luna?”                 “If I can make you a new bond with someone who doesn’t have one or lost their mate, would you want that?” I asked, staring right in his eyes for the honest answer.                 Beau looked shocked at first, but then it faded. “That’s kind of you, Luna. But, we all know we only get one mate. There are no second chances.”                 I tilted my head with a devilish smile on my lips. “But, maybe there should be. Let me ask you again. If I can, would you want another mate?”                 He looked like he was deep in thought, but then let out a deep breath. “Protecting you, is what matters to me now.”                 “Beau, I can’t be your whole life, because I can’t warm your bed. You need that love, you are made to protect and love, and care for others. Do you want a mate?”                 (Stop making us think of you with other males!) Both brothers screamed through the link at me.                 I groaned, but ignored them.                 He nodded. “Yes, you and a mate would be my whole life.”                 “Good, then if I can. I will find you a second chance mate one of these days, Beau.”                 (Oh Goddess…she looks determined.) Ranger said with a sigh.                 Redford nodded. (At least were not dealing with a determined Nyx right now. I’m too tired for that.)
