Blood For Blood

Before leaving our house, I asked if I could be allowed to have a small mind link with Beau so it would be easier for him to watch over me. Red and Royce protested it, but me and Ranger won. So, now I was walking to the pack house with Beau at my side.                 “Are you nervous about meeting the other Alpha’s, Luna Sam?”                 I glanced over and shook my head. “Not at all. The only reason I’m going is to be with Redford since Royce hasn’t slept in a day and Ranger is still recovering and is exhausted. But, Beau are you okay?”                 He nodded. “Yes, Luna. I’m trying to ignore the threats the Kings are telling me what’s going to happen if something happens to you.”                 “They are mind linking you right now?” I asked with an annoyed face.                 “Yes, Luna. Redford is saying that I will be ripped apart one limb at a time, Royce made the comment that whatever happens to you will be done to me, and Ranger yawned and said, ‘what my brothers are saying’.”                 Damn triplets.                 I sighed. (Boys, leave Beau alone. He can’t concentrate on me if you three are yelling at him though the link. Royce and Ranger, you two need to go to bed, now.)                 (Sorry baby, I’m going to bed now.) Ranger yawned out.                 Royce huffed. (I didn’t realize Makah was on our mind link.)                 I rolled my eyes. (If you keep talking and don’t go to sleep, you’re going to get nothing when me and Red get back home.)                 There was a long pause.                 (I’m in bed, Sam. Please, come back soon.) Royce said sheepishly.                 I smiled. (Good, thank you, Alpha.)                 When they slightly closed their mind link, me and Beau continued talking to get more familiar with each other.                         The pack house felt weird. There was its usual high energy aura, but there was something else. Something dark. I wasn’t the only one who felt it. Beau stiffened and placed himself a little closer to me as his eyes scanned the area. Some of the pack members lounged around or did things seemingly in a rush. Then something else caught my eye. One of the pack members I met at the ceremony was watching us with sadness in her brown eyes.                 “Marie? Right?” I called out to her.                 She nodded. “Yes, Queen.”                 I held up a hand. “Luna Sam will be perfectly fine. May I ask, what’s wrong? You can tell me, I’m your Luna.”                 Marie let out a deep breath. “The Alpha’s that came to congratulate the King’s…One of them is Alpha LaCroix…”                 “Who is-“ I went to say, but a low growl that escaped from Beau made my mind go where it needed too. “Beau, is Alpha LaCroix the one who killed Corian?”                 His jaw was set tightly, only loosening when I touched his arm gently. “Yes, Luna. He’s the monster that took my mate from me.”                 I felt my blood boil. Just like when I heard Dorian was going to have two of the triplets killed. I wanted to spill blood. “Blood for blood. And so, it shall be.”                 Upon hearing my Luna authority caused most in the room to bow their heads to me. Beau nodded, while Marie shook a little.                 “I will not allow any of my pack to suffer at the hands of an outsider. I hope everyone in the room is listening. This pack is the strongest there is, and I’ll be damned if I let anyone displace even a single hair on my wolves. Beau? Where is my King and the Alpha’s?” I growled out.                 He held out his hand. “This way, my Queen.”                 The tone he used was a sign of respect and willing submission. A tone only supposed to be used for the King’s. “Blood for Blood.”                       When we reached the room, I didn’t even bother knocking. No. I was a Luna. A f*****g Queen to the wolves! I wasn’t going to knock, or back down. Oh…Red’s going to be so mad…                 I shoved the double doors open and stood there like I owned the world. My eyes scanned the room, seeing all three Alpha’s staring in my direction. One with confusion, one with amusement, and one with pure anger. Then I found Redford sitting at the head of the table and gave him a wink. A slight smirk perked up on his lips.                 “Hello, wife.”                 The Alpha’s looked shocked then. The amused one with dark red hair spoke first.                 “King Redford, this is your Luna and our Queen? She’s quite the fiery one. I like her. My name’s Gent Hanson.”                 The confused Alpha with light brown hair nodded. “Pleasure to meet you, Luna Queen. I’m Alpha Tanas Copper.”                 “Even a Queen should knock before entering a room filled with Alpha’s.” The angry Alpha said with a huff.                 I smiled as I tilted my head. “You must be…Alpha LaCroix.”                 He nodded. “I am. I’m surprised you know who I am, being a Luna and all.”                 “Oh, just because I’m a female doesn’t mean I don’t hear things around the pack house. Your reputation precedes you.” I began taking steps to the tail of the table, centering myself in all their attention.                 (Sam, what are you up too?) Red linked to me.                 I glanced over to him. (Do you trust me?)                 He gave a slight nod. (Blindly.)                 (Then, let me do what needs to be done here.) I asked, not demanded. That would have gotten me nowhere.                 Slightly confused at first, he shrugged. (Be my guest, love.)                 “I didn’t expect such praise from our…Queen.” LaCroix said with a smile on his face.                 I glanced back over to him and raised an eyebrow. “Oh, it wasn’t a complement.”                 Alpha Gent stifled a laugh. “Thank you, King Redford, for giving us such a wonderful Queen. She’s just like you.”                 Redford smiled at that, still staying silent and waiting to see where I was going with this.                 “I thought priestesses were supposed to be kind and benevolent? Submitting to any male and preying to the Goddess?” Alpha LaCroix spit out.                 (If he keeps talking to you like that, I’m going to step in.)                 I shook my head at him. (No, Red. I got this.)                 (Fine.)                 “And I thought Alpha’s were supposed to protect and care for their pack members and allies of their pack? But you don’t abide by that rule.” I challenged, planning my hands on the table to stare right at him.                 LaCroix leaned forward in his seat. “What nonsense are you talking about now, girl?”                 At that four growls erupted through the room. The blatant disrespect was something I was counting on. I knew this sack of s**t couldn’t handle keeping himself right as we argued. I smiled at the others to reassure them before going right back to Alpha LaCroix.                 “I got a personal guard recently, his name is Beau.” I said, setting the trap.                 He shrugged. “Why would I care about something like that?”                 (Still don’t approve of him yet.)                 I ignored Red and kept my award-winning smile on my face. “Oh, I think you should. Beau is the striking gentle-wolf behind me. Recognize him at all?”                 Redford’s face changed. He knew what I was doing now. (Samara, you’re in dangerous waters right now. What are you doing?)                 Hearing him say my full name made me know I was testing it with him, but I told Beau and everyone else. Mess with my pack and I will get blood for blood.                 “Why would I? He’s just another fighter?” LaCroix said like it was nothing.                 He was soon going to figure out.                 I tapped my chin with my index finger, acting like I was thinking. “He may be a fighter wolf, but Beau here is special. You see, Beau had found his precious mate. A lovely creature named Corian…And you! You pathetic, horrendous, disgusting, sloppy, murderous monster took her from him! You cannot go around killing she-wolves who don’t want to f**k you! So, I’m here to fix this little problem of yours.”                 (Careful, Samara. You cannot challenge an Alpha. Do you know what that means? As an Omega?)                 I swallowed hard. (If he wins the fight, I have to submit my body to him until he says he’s done. I know, Red. I WILL NOT LOSE. I’m doing this for Beau, Corian, and the wolves who think Alpha’s can come in and do whatever they want to our pack. No more. As their Luna Queen, I will show them that even I can defend them. I need to do this to earn a bit more of their trust.)                 Red let out a deep breath. (You…Are amazing, Samara. Do it. I’ll back you. But you better not f*****g lose! Ranger and Royce will…crumble if they have to endure the pain of feeling you mating with someone other than us.)                 (What about you, Alpha?) I asked, hoping it was going to be answered with something I liked.                 He shrugged. (I wouldn’t hesitate to rip him apart, I don’t care about the consequences. You belong to us, and no other male will enter you. Ever.)                 I inhaled sharply. (Don’t go there or I’m going to soak my panties right here with all of them.)                 “You have no right to talk to me like that, Omega! You may be the King’s new Luna, but I will not be spoken too like I’m just another wolf. I’m an Alpha and I deserve respect from you!” Alpha LaCroix shouted out as he stood.                 Beau took a step closer hovering over me. I rolled my eyes. “You are just another wolf to me. I wouldn’t have even known you were an Alpha if I saw you on the street.”                 Alpha LaCroix let out a low, threatening growl. “Your testing my patience, girl.”                 “Just like Corian when she told you she wasn’t going to be your chosen mate? What’s wrong, LaCroix? What happened to your true mate? Did she run away from you too?” I taunted.                 His eyes got darker. “She was just another run of the mill Omega. She should have been over-joyed that I wanted her to be my Luna.”                 I snapped. “As Luna to the Royal pack and Queen of the wolves, I challenge you to best me in combat. My condition is if I win, I will kill you.”                  LaCroix smile wickedly. “I accept. If I win, I take the tradition. I will have you submitting to me in every way.”                 “I hope your Beta is prepared to be Alpha, because one way or the other, you’re not going home to your pack.” I said as I licked my lips in anticipation for the fight. “I’ll make sure of it.”
