CHESTER It's almost dawn and we need to leave now if we should get home before noon. My entourage seems to be growing impatient but they don't dare say a word. We leave when I'm ready, and right now, I'm not. Standing outside the hospital has been a tiring task. It's been over forty minutes now. I'm not sure how much longer I need to stand here but I will. No way in hell am I going to leave without seeing him come out of the building. I check my wristwatch again. Forty-five minutes. What the hell is he still doing there? 'Go inside and find out if you're so curious,' My wolf replies in an irritated, sarcastic tone. Duane has been with me since I was eighteen. Now, I'm 22 and we've never had quite the best relationship. He's a cranky fellow but has gotten even crankier since morning.
