Sitting in my study, the events so far swirl around in my mind like a turbulent storm. One thing that seems to strikingly gnaw at me is the fact that Bri lied to Nova. Obviously, it is supposed to be the least of my worries at this time but I can not sanely wrap my head around why she would lie to Nova about us dating.
Could that have been a slip of the tongue or a deliberate opinion? We have been friends for as long as I can remember, but Bri had always been like my sister, and she has always considered me her brother. And in over twelve years of friendship, she knows quite well that I have never seen her in a way other than what it – like a sister – friend. So why would she tell Nova that we are f*****g dating.
