Perrie opened the backpack and withdrew from it the oldest envelope that was dated the night they’d made their promise to one another. The letter had been written four and half years previously, but the envelope had remained sealed. It had traveled across oceans, been caught in multiple rain storms and had waited on countless flight delays. It had been to hostels, hotels and family homes. It had traveled the world with Perrie and Perrie was finally ready to let the letter breathe.
She then took back out her phone and redialed the number she’d just hung up with.
