This was my chance.
By some miracle, Gomes had agreed to showing me around his company. I didn't know why, but one thing was sure: I was going to utilize it to the fullest advantage.
Most likely, he must have thought that since I was the one trying to get a partnership with his labs, then I would make sure I was on my best behavior and not do anything funny.
But as it so happened, we didn't want a partnership in the first place, and this was just more of a cover-up so that I could utilize any chance I got to, in fact, do something funny and gather all the information I needed as soon as possible.
So when he actually agreed to it, I felt more relieved.
