It has been hours and Ariella has not returned from her parents' house with Hope. "Boss, we have an invitation to a black rose party," David remarked, handing me the card.
"We will deal with it later; right now, we need to go retrieve my wife," I said, getting into the car.
David began, and we drove for an hour before arriving at Ariella's parents' home. We parked and went inside the home when we saw Ariella and Hope being led out.
"Daddy,” Hope said the moment she saw me and ran to get a hug.
"Hey baby how are you?" I asked her.
"I am well; Aunt Klara baked me biscuits while Mother and Grandpa watched cartoons with me," Hope said excitedly.
I could tell she was having a good time and thanked Klara and her father before driving Ariella and Hope to the vehicle.
