“Is he gone?" I asked Emma who was looking from the window.
“Yes they just got in the car," she responded before walking back to the sofa and taking a seat next to me.
“I…I don't know what to say I feel ashamed and guilty Emma my life is —”
"Shhhh, hey, you do not have to be ashamed of anything. I know what occurred between you two is unexpected, but believe me, you will be alright," Emma informed me.
Luis and Hope were waiting for me in the car, and I knew it would be unpleasant for me, but I had to get myself together. I walked to the car and sat next to Luis, as Hope was playing with her doll in the other seat.
