A gun fired and I was surprised that it was not mine.
"You were too slow, cousin," Marcus said as he walked me.
"Why did you shoot him?” I asked since I wasn't going to shoot.
"Because he messed with my sister-in-law, I do not fool around with my family," Marcus grinned, but I knew it was a lie.
He was aware of the poisoning and sought to quiet the cook. I dismissed everyone while David requested that the cleaning crew come and clear up the mess.
