Chapter 5

_Dario's POV_ I watched her, my eyes fixed on her furious face. She was a spitfire, this one. I had to admit, I was impressed. Most women would have broken by now, would have given up and accepted their fate. But not this one. She was different. As I held her firm, I could feel her heart pounding against my chest. She was scared, but she was also angry. And that anger was what made her so intriguing. I had been watching her for hours, studying her every move. I knew her patterns, her habits. I knew she was a fighter, that she would stop at nothing to escape. But I also knew she was trapped. She had no way out, no way to escape the web I had spun around her. And that was what made her so appealing. She was a challenge, a puzzle to be solved. And I was the only one who could solve it. As I looked into her eyes, I saw a spark of defiance. She was daring me to try and break her, to try and tame her. And I had to admit, I was tempted. “What’s your name?” I couldn’t help but ask. She glared hard at me. “Sabrina!” She spat with venom. “Sabrina,” I repeated slowly, tasting her name on my lips. Just befitting. I leaned in closer, my breath hot on her ear. "You're a fascinating creature, Sabrina," I whispered. "So full of fire and spirit. But you're also very, very foolish." She struggled against me, but I held her firm. "You'll never break me," she spat. I chuckled, my eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I think I already have," I said, my voice dripping with menace. Sabrina's eyes flashed with anger, but I could see the fear lurking beneath. She knew she was trapped, knew she was at my mercy. And that was what made her so appealing. She was a captive, a prisoner. And I was her jailer. I released her, stepping back to regard her with a calculating gaze. "You'll learn to obey me, Sabrina," I said, my voice firm. "You'll learn to do as I say, without question." Sabrina's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched in anger. "I'll never obey you," she spat. I raised an eyebrow, my eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that," I said, my voice dripping with menace. As I turned to leave, I could feel Sabrina's eyes on me, boring into my back. She was plotting, scheming. And I knew she would try to escape again. “What’s your name?” She asked just before I left the room. I hesitated. “Dario.” _Sabrina's POV_ I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. The camera in the corner of the room seemed to be staring at me, its lens boring into my soul. I tried to ignore it, but my eyes kept drifting back to it. I paced back and forth in the luxurious bedroom, my mind racing with thoughts of escape. I had to get out of here, no matter what it took. But every door I tried led to more locked doors, more dead ends. I was trapped. I stopped pacing and looked around the room again. There had to be a way out. I spotted a small table near the window, with a vase and a book on it. I walked over to it, my eyes scanning the surface. And then, I saw it - a small, almost imperceptible seam in the wallpaper. It was my only chance. I quickly grabbed the vase and smashed it against the seam. The sound of shattering glass filled the room, and I winced as shards flew everywhere. But I didn't care. I was one step closer to freedom. I began to pry at the seam, my fingers digging into the wallpaper. It was harder than I thought it would be, but I was determined. I pulled and pulled, my muscles straining with effort. Just as I thought I was making progress, I heard a voice behind me. "Sabrina, stop." I spun around, my heart sinking. Dario stood in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me. He looked brooding, his jaw clenched in anger. "What's wrong with you?" I spat, trying to sound braver than I felt. "Can't you see I'm trying to escape?" I asked even though I knew my plan had being foiled. He raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I can see that," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "And I must say, I'm impressed. You're quite the determined little thing, aren't you?" I glared at him, my hands still clutching the torn wallpaper. "I'm not 'little' anything," I snapped. "I'm a grown woman, and I won't be held captive." Dario chuckled. "Oh, but you will," he said, walking towards me. "You'll stay right here, where it's safe." I tried to struggle, but he was too strong. He pinned me against the wall, his hands holding me firm. "You're not going anywhere, Sabrina," he whispered, his breath hot on my ear. "Not from me." I shuddered at the thought, my mind racing with fear. "Let me go," I demanded, trying to sound calm. "I won't be held captive by some...some...mafia thug." Dario's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger. "You have no idea what you're dealing with," he growled. "You have no idea what I'm capable of." I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. I knew I had to tread carefully, to play along until I could find a way out. But I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, of being trapped in a never-ending cycle of fear. "Fine," I spat, trying to sound braver than I felt. "I'll behave. But only because I have to, not because I want to." Dario's eyes glinted with amusement, his lips curling into a sinister smile. “I'm shaking in my boots," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. I glared at him, my eyes flashing with anger. "You have no idea who I am," I snapped. "I'm Sabrina, daughter of one of the most powerful men in the state. And when he finds out what you've done to me, you'll be sorry." Dario raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with interest. "Oh, I'm counting on it," he said, his voice dripping with menace. My father will come for me. He will.
