I woke up in the cottage, the next morning next to Evelyn who was still sleeping peacefully and got out of bed. I yawned lazily as I stretched my body. I walked towards the mirror and noticed the dried paths that had been cut by my tears last night. I shrugged as I walked to the water faucet and splashed water on my face. It is a new day and I will not allow unhappy memories to dent the joy that a new day brings along.
Looking towards the window, I noticed that the sun was now high up in the sky. I smiled as I left the cottage only to freeze as I ran into an unexpected presence. I stared at Raiden who had formerly been in a walk and had stopped mid-turn, a half dead smile on my face as I noticed that he had not slept all night. I felt a pang but ignored him as I stepped around him
