Mother said she had something to show me and that she couldn’t tell me about it. She gave me directions as I drove into the mouth of the woods. I turn off the ignition after making sure I properly parked the car..
“Where are we and wat are we here for mom?” I ask her and she sighs.
“What ever happens in there I want you to promise me you will not hate me “ she says with hesitation in her voice and I know this thing must be huge for sure if my mother’s usual bravado is missing and I sigh.
“Nothing can make me hate you Mom , absolutely nothing, you have done so much for me and I love you for that.” I say and she nods obviously trying to cheer up with a smile on her face .
