Nice to see U, Again

When Bonnie arrived in the classroom, she stood at the door for a couple of seconds and looked at the corner she used to peep over thousands of times. She finally saw the face she had dreamed of so many times. He was just sitting in the corner. The sunlight was jumping in his hair, the light reflected on his face just like the shimmer over the moon. Her stiff limbs started to warm up again. He is still so handsome and always gets all her attention.

Nice to see you, Noah. Her heart skips a beat. Don't escape this time, she encouraged herself.

But he didn't look up, she sighed slightly and took her sight back. She walked to her seat and started looking at the classmates around her. She saw again the friends she had known so well when she was young.

Ah, youth

What does the time take from me? Maybe fearless love and my pure heart, she started wondering. Finally, by that moment, she felt like the younger Bonnie was back again.

She walked to her table and put her backpack in the drawer.

“ Hey, did you watch the new episode of One Piece last night?” Her deskmate Jasme asked.

Bonnie had already stopped watching anime after she started to work.

“ I forgot, I was busy last night,” Bonnie answered.

“ Busy for what?”

“ Busy finding out what I really want for the rest of my life”, Bonnie shrugged, ignored her rolling eyes, and opened the textbook.

“ I'm gonna work harder this time. I‘ll get what I want.” Bonnie muttered.

Bonnie barely remembered what she had learned from high school. But it didn’t take much time for a woman who went to college to pick up all the high school knowledge. She kept her brain occupied until the bell ring awaked her.

She turns back and sees Noah has just left the classroom. Bonnie walked to his desk quickly and put the juice and chocolate protein bar she bought this morning in Noah’s drawer. Protein plus vitamins should be good enough. Bonnie thought, satisfyingly.

She also left a note on his desk “Plz take good care of yourself and have breakfast every day :)”. She drew a little cartoon girl with a big smile down below. Hope this was gonna cheer him up, she thought.

Bonnie went back to her desk and started to prepare for the next class. Noah went back to the classroom and noticed the food. He glanced at the note, then he threw all the stuff into the garbage can.

Bonnie turned back quietly and was just in time to see this scene.

It’s ok.

Bonnie consoled herself and held back her tears. Maybe he just didn’t like the chocolate bar and juice. What a weird combo. He‘s just being vigilant and cautious. I'm 2 years away from graduating. I still have plenty of time to get close to him. It’s never too late, it’s never too late.

After school, when she walked directly to the gate, she saw the big maple tree standing there. She used to pass by this tree so many times but never paid attention to it. This is a big, beautiful, tree. The tree leans into the sunny rays as if they were lovers in an eternal trance. The bonfire-red of the maple leaf is so powerful, she feels like the eye-catching color started to light up her mood. All the blue goes away and is occupied by this red.

How beautiful is this, she exclaimed. She felt happy again. She ran to the tree and saw the leaves that had been blown away by the wind, like some elves dancing with the wind.

God, please don’t let this moment rot and disappear like the dust, she thought. She picked up the reddest and the most pretty maple leaf on the ground. Put it into her textbook.

“I wish I could share this beautiful moment with Noah,” she said to the tree.

Bonnie went back home and started to implement her plan.

“Mom, I know you invested some money in stocks, right?”

“ Yes, why?” Mom looked back at her.

“My friend‘s dad joined a startup company called DAMI. That company is working on developing a new phone.” she paused.

“Their phone has high-resolution cameras and their touch screen is also larger than most of the smartphones on the market. The size of the screen is a new trend now. You can buy as much stock as you can since they just released their stock. The price is pretty low. I heard in the future they are gonna focus on AI smart home appliances and 5G networks.”

This company is a small startup now, but Bonnie already knows the price of the stock is gonna go crazy after 2013, and it will grow up to a top company. So she wanted to convince her mom to buy the stock in bulk.

“ Really？ is the news reliable？” her mom doubts.

“You can search for more information about this company, their products went viral in only one month after release. They are currently targeting young people. They know what the market wants. Creativity is their key. “
