Chapter 6The following day, Bass and Macky met outside the church courtyard and together they went in through the large oak doors to the sanctuary. They proceeded down the center aisle. The man wearing a dark gray sport coat, sitting in the front pew, paging through a hymnal, they assumed was Reverend Farlee. When he looked up and noticed Bass and Macky standing next to him, he carefully marked his place in the hymnal with a red felt bookmarker and stood up.
