“Are you back?” Marco asked as soon as the call connected, he was standing in his office where he could see a clear view of the city outside.
But the few crease lines on his forehead was enough indication that he wasn’t particularly enjoying the view in front of him.
He was aware that he genuinely loved Diane and that he wanted to spend his whole life with her but he just couldn’t imagine that her being away for the past two days with little phone conversations had made him very riled up and uncomfortable.
All he wanted and needed to do right now was see her.
“Yes, we just left and we are on our way home. How are you? Still at work?” Diane shot loads of questions at me as if trying to catch up with all the lost time they have had the past few days.
