Valen. I wiped the side of my lips, my body heaved happily, I won. I got her back, after all these years that I had to watch her in someone's arms. Now, I want Lucien to know what I had felt all those years when I had no one by my side. You see, I had known about Diana and the bond between us for a long time. But she didn't and I couldn't just claim her when she was in love with someone else. They acted so happy in front of everyone until the day I found out, that it was all fake and Lucien had always been pretending It was the reason why I had I come here today, not because I wanted to attend some f****d up party. “Are you happy?” Lucien fumed. He had now changed and if it wasn't for the fact that I was waiting for Diana to get her stuff out, then I would have left a long time ago. I stared at him, wondering how Diana had fallen for him for the first time. “Happy?” I repeated with a smirk on my face. “I am beyond happy, Lucien.” I told him. “I snatched away that one thing that you had been wanting. She is mine now.” I bragged. “Diana came with a price and I had taken it away, beside that I had ruin her so I am only leaving you with the empty box.” He sang. At the moment, I wanted to push him off and beat the f**k out of him. But he had gotten enough, his lips are patched from the punch that he had taken in. I should let him breath for some minutes. “Well, it is your loss and I don't care about how ruin you had made her because I will make sure that I get her back.” With that, I stood up. From where I stood, I saw Diana coming closer with a bag in her hand. I rushed to her side, grabbing the bag and I winked at a fuming Lucien. “I promise you that you will regret your decision because I will f**k you up.” He directed at Diana. I saw her from the corner of my eyes as her body shivered, while she took the same strides with me until we got the car. Only one guard had come here with me and he was the one that had driven. “Alpha Valen.” He called out, rushing to get the bag from my hand. “I heard there was a commotion and I couldn't get in.” Guards from other packs aren't allowed inside the pack house, it was some stupid rules that Lucien had implemented, because it would favor him the most like it had today. “It was nothing, we will be heading home.” I informed him. Helping Diana into the car, I sat by the other side. “Are you okay?” I gently questioned. Of course, she doesn't look okay but I wasn't sure of how I had wanted to ask her. I want her to feel saved and loved. “You can let it go, Diana. You don't have to be strong.” “All these years, I let him lead me on, not knowing he was deceiving me. He kept feeding me drugs and I kept taking, not knowing he was going behind to f**k his bitch.” She said all in a breath. She looked at me and all I could do was nodded my head at her, giving her the assurance that she can go on. I was told that telling someone about it helps out a lot. “He is planning to take over the pack, which he has already done and would cause a lot of harm.” “I know all these, Diana. My men found out about it and it was why I had come today.” I informed. Her mouth formed an o shape, as she stared at me. “but. Diana.” I slowly called out. My body wanted to hold her hand, to assure her that everything is okay and one day, together we will defeat Lucien and all that he is doing. But I held back myself, it would take her by surprise and I don't want her to think otherwise of me. “I will help you fight Lucien if you let me. Me and Lucien go way back and I know how to deal with him.” Since the day he took away what belonged to me, he became my enemy and he would pay for all he had made her go through. “Do you believe it?” Diana palmed her face with a fake smile. “I had always thought of you as an enemy and always thought that you were after the title, not knowing that you would be the one to help me one day and also, my mate.” Her voice was low as she said it. I chuckled. “Well, I didn't mind when you had always considered me an enemy.” I told her. The thought of her, assuming that I hated her and was after her makes me wonder what type of expression I had given her. Then there is Lucien who could have telling her lies and she was left with no choice than to believe since she was blinded. “Lucien just had to be a bastard.” When I looked into her eyes, I saw the love and the disappointment of everything. She was once in love with a man that had entirely deceived her, just for what she had. But at the same time, it hurts me to know that I sat there, like a fool while she went through it all. “It would take us three hours to get to the pack.” I found myself talking, to lighten up the atmosphere. “I know.” She smiled. Fucked! Her dimples, her eyes color that screams love me, and her smile that seduces me all the time. If I must admit and say the truth, Diana is every man’s dream. “I have been there before, when my parents were around. It was fun and there was a little boy that kept me company, he meant everything to me then. So I am looking forward to meeting him again.” That little boy is me. I am her little boy but I am not ready to reveal myself to her.
