The rest of the day passed in a blur, but Austin and his pack were constantly on my mind. Their presence in my bar, their power, and the way they carried themselves impressed me, but it did not stop my distaste for them—especially their alpha, Austin. There is just something about him. The strange pull I felt towards him was unnerving, which was weird because hardly anything stayed in my mind for that long. I am not the type that ponders over something as minor as this. I was also not someone who trusted quickly, especially not wolf shifters. They had repeatedly proven to me that they were untrustworthy, and I had lost hope in finding one with dignity between them. If I were to end my life being a wolf shifter, then I would have been cheated, given my first-hand experience with them.
