“Your girl?! Hey, Maira,” I say, leaning closer. “While I was in the hospital, did anything happen between you and Emily? Like… anything official?”
Maira’s eyes widen slightly, a smile creeping onto her face. “Um, well… you could say that,” she replies, looking mischievous.
“Wait, what do you mean by ‘you could say that’?” I ask, my excitement bubbling over. “Are you two a thing now?”
