mia felt anxiety eat away at her. her mind felt like it was going a thousand miles an hour trying to keep up with what she saw or what she heard, waiting for the next shoe to drop. Her heart was pounding and she could feel cold beads of sweat running down her forehead. Her chest was tightening with every breath she took. She felt clamming cold and she drove down the highway. She needed to know where the cord cutter, she needed to find them and finally be free.

mie drove back to the street she was on before and slammed her foot onto the brake pedal making the car come to a screeching holt. he she jumped out of the car and slammed the door as she ran down the alley trying to find where the man she talked to was. she ran down the alleyway and sniffed the air. She followed their scent to where they were and kick down the door but they were behind in the old building. " where is the cord cutter! " she yelled. " they weren't there! where are they ! " She growled out As her eyes glowed an Otherworldly blue And punched a hole in the wall.

cole ran after and only saw her turn and kick and door down. he heard her yelled and let out a something sounded like a growl. he carefully walked closer till now open door that was laying besides frame, broken. he saw mia pick up a man and throw them. " tell me where they are! " someone ran at her, she grabbed them by the throat and let out of War cry. he watched in astonishment as mia started biting, clawing, throwing, punching, and kicking anyone that tried to take her down or stop her. she had thrown three grown people off of her and then kept going. Eventually she went up the stairs. and marched up there. " you can't hide from me! i can smell you! "

she got to the top the stairs and smelled where he was. " get out here and face me! " she kicked down around door off its hinges. there he was at a deck looking over some documents. " and what do I owe this pleasure. " she stomped forward. " you gave me the wrong information. they don't live there anymore, tell me where they live now so I can get to the cord cutter " mia growled out as her teeth turn sharp and beared at him her eyes flashing a cold unearthly blue it seemed to shine and glow. A gold ring surrounding her pupils. She was clearly enraged. The man only gave her a dismissive look. " oh he moved already? I thought I was going to be for another day or two. " me felt her eyeI begin to twitch. " i'll ask again where are they " she leaning close and let out low angry Growl. " he handed her a piece of paper. " there, there's his new address. Now will you kindly get out of my office. I have things to do. " shesnatched it from his hand. " thank you" she said with frustration her voice along with barely concealed Fury.

As she stomped her way out of the aphla's office she saw cole making is away. " come on I got his new address, let's go, go, go! " she rushed downstairs through the people that she practically threw around like Ragdolls and back to her car, with Cole just barely keeping up. Everything was just rushing through his head as he tried to gather his thoughts. 1. she ran through that place like a tornado. 2. She wasn't afraid to pull a punch and 3. he wasn't ashamed to admit he thought it was kind of hot that she could throw grown people around like Ragdolls. But he was still going to keep that to himself never the less.

After again being in stand still traffic they managed after hours to get to the cord cutter's new place. it was starting to get dark. " finally" she happy she could practically scream. she rushed out of the car and up to the door and began to knock. " hello! i need you're help sir! " cole walked behind her and met her on the front porch. after a minute of 2 baded breath someone opened the door. An older man seeming to be maybe in his 30s or 40s. " i see. come in come in. you must be cyrus's daughter. I remember him. you have his eyes. " the man walked back into the house as mia and Cole followed him in. " how's selene. they still happy together? " mia looked around, she heard the question he asked and looked at him. " yes, very happy. I have two more siblings you know" she gave the man a small smile. Led them to what looked at a small ceremony room. " all righty kiddo's " he pointed to Mia. " you come over to the alter. and you lover boy go over there. " he pointed to what looked like another altar that had stuff on it. cole felt his face go red at the term lover boy.

it took in a deep breath and slowly let it out as she walked up to the altart hat the cord cutter was at. he touched the palms of her hands. he made a circle motion on her palm and dunked her hands in a basin of water. " you moon goddess, we ask that you cut the cord of fate for you young lady. " he took them out and dunked them again. " that you free her from fate she dose not want, that he choose her own path to go down. " the water in the Basin began to Glow as he dunked her hands in once more. " free her oh moon goddess, free her and let her find her own love! " he dunked her hands and again as the glow was now bright white. there he saw a thin off color, sickly orange cord that looked almost brown. "

all right assistant hand me those scissors over there. The ones that look really fancy" cole was staring at what he saw in shock. His body acting on airplane mode decide to grab the scissors and walk them over to the man. " thank you assistant. " he opened the scissors underneath the cord getting ready to cut it. " thank you oh great and merciful moon goddess. for letting this young lady be free of her soulmate and befree to find another! " the cord glowed white before he cut the cord. then he did, it seemed to fizzle and fade

. When the Basin stopped glowing whiteand turned back into regular water. only then did he take her hands out. you are free now young lady. How does it feel? " mia was so happy that she jumped up and down with joy. " thank you thank you thank you ! " she gave him a hug. " what do you i pay? " she said with a smile already going through her purse to give him something. " no, no i want nothing, this is free. " see looked at him with a slightly sad look. " but I went to repay you for but you've done for me. " he gave her hug and let her go . " after seeing that cord. Consider it on the house. " she smiled and hugged him again. " come on cole we're leaving. " he just followed after her in a dazed state.

as they made it back to the car. his mind could only yell and try and make sense of what he had just saw. Was it real? Was it an optical illusion? Was it something else entirely? he still firmly believe she was in a cult but now maybe there was a bit of truth to somethings she said. It's always good to have some skepticism he reminded himself.
