“Where am i?” Asked Ajira. She quickly rose on her feet and adjusted her cloth moderately. She saw a fair young cute dude standing in front of her with his cloth off. “Was I been r***d by this guy?” She thought “Don’t think that way” Interrupted the cute guy. He continued “You fainted after hearing my heavy footstep, I was on the tree during your discussion with the star, I was the one that made the sound to interrupt you. I put off my cloth to use as a fan for you when you fainted, thanks to heaven that you’re back here.” Said the cute guy. “Oh! Oh! Exclaimed Ajira “Yes” Replied the dude. “I’m Alex, I live nearby, you?” “Ajira, that’s my house there.” She left the description of her house to her finger. “Wow! That’s a rare name” Said Alex. “I think so” Replied Ajira with a smirk. “What are you doing here?” Asked Ajira. “This is where I do come to relief myself off after a distressful day” He replied with a grin. “I’ve never seen you here before” said Alex “I seldom come here. I will take my leave now, do have a sweet night” said Ajira “Alright, you too” replied Alex They both took their leaves and let silence overtake the place. Ajira thought about the cute guy for a moment, she thought about the distress he might be facing at the tender age of his life, she also thought about her uncertain life. She got in and went straight to her small room and lay her body on the foam. The sun was up already and the song of the melodious birds has filled the sky, Ajira’s terrible nightmare was shut off by the careless door who allowed itself to be knocked. In her dream, she saw herself standing all alone in a weird room and in strange attire, then appeared suddenly a masked dark creature in black, she was paralyzed and overcrowded by fear at the sight of the creature, she screamed like a woman in labor, but no one came to the rescue, her clamoring was monotonous, the more she screamed the nearer the creature towards her. She stopped screaming at a point and let the room occupied by silence, she noticed that the weird creature ceased getting closer towards her, she let her back solace on the wall and observed the room painstakingly, she looked towards her left and saw a narrow passage, she switched off the sound of her footstep and moved towards the passage silently. But she was betrayed by her loud breath, which was a hint of her whereabout for the weird creature, she was at the point of getting hit by the creature when her door summoned her back into life. She rose up and went straight to the door to stop it horrible sound. “It was you” She said with a sober face. “Good morning sir. How was your night?” Greeted Ajira on her knee “Morning to you dear, my night was fine.” Replied Ajala, her uncle. “What have you been doing since? I’ve been at the door for minutes” Asked her uncle. “Nothing really, I was sleeping” replied Ajira “Pele, iyawo Jonah” They both laugh at her uncle’s joke. “Ajira, what happened between you and your iya Ayo yesterday?” The question changed her face and her mood. “Ajira” continued Ajala. “You should try to be in good term with your sister, your habitual quarrel won’t do, please my dear” Ajira lost control of her emotion, eyes water began to roll down to her mouth. She remembered how she was cheated and humiliated by her sister in-law on the night before. She wanted to pour out all her she did to her but she spoke to her thought and left it all to her innocent eyes water. “It’s okay my dear” placated Ajala. “Go wash your beautiful face and take your bath, you know you’re starting your UMTE tutorial today” said her uncle. He gave her a warm hug to pacify her and left the room. Ajira was happy this time, because she would at least be free from 24 hours house chores and nagging by her sister in-law. She promised herself not to associate with anyone who would be an hindrance to her studies.
