Melissa's POV:
I was making pies and was almost finished when Sofia came running into the kitchen.
"Oh Mel, I have a VERY important call that I have to attend. Can you please attend the counter, in case any customer arrives?" She said in a hurry. The phone was ringing in her hand.
I looked at her in doubt, wondering what important call but nodded anyway.
"Okay." I agreed. She smiled thankfully picking up the call. I shook my head in amusement as she was about to trip in her rush. A chuckle escaped my lips before I went to the front counter. A customer was already there, peeking inside the kitchen but straightened himself immediately as I came into view.
"How can I help you?" I asked politely, smiling at him. He looked at me with a somewhat nervous expression. This guy was looking familiar for some reason, but I couldn’t remember where I had seen him.
"OH....anything. I mean your special item. I'm sitting at the tabling." He placed the order and went to one of the tables. We also served inside the bakery like a small café. It just made the bakery more lively and cozy.
Something felt odd about that guy but I brushed it off. As I was about to go back to get the guy's order, Sofia came back running just like before and grabbed my arms, looking excited. It only gave me chills for some reason.
"Mel, I have good news!" She yelled excitedly. I glared at her, nodding towards the customer. She immediately turned to look behind her at the guy who was also looking at us now. Her face as she flushed red, clasping her lips together in embarrassment.
"Sorry." She muttered, but her smile didn't flatter as she looked back at me with stary eyes.
"Okay, what's the news?" I asked, and her eyes brightened up further if it was even possible. A big grin stretched across her face. I was getting the feeling that whatever this good news was, it wasn’t going to be good for me.
"Mel, you are going on a date." She exclaimed happily. It took a few seconds before her words settled in my mind and then my eyes went wide like saucers. I blinked a few times, digesting what she had said before narrowing my eyes at her. See, told ya!
"What is this Sofia? Who said I'm going on a date? What are you talking about?" I asked, bewildered. She immediately grabbed my hand, which instantly annoyed me. She always did that whenever she wanted to convince me about something and it always worked.
"I said that you are going on a date. Remember that handsome doctor at the hospital. He asked me to ask you if you can go out with him-"
"No, I can't go," I stated monotone, cutting her off. She glared at me and started again, completely dismissing my protest.
"That's the point. I said you are going. Tonight at 8 he will pick you from here." She exclaimed, and I couldn’t help but to groan in frustration. She's worried about my relationship life as if she's my mother. Like seriously! My own mother doesn’t give any s**t about my life but what can I say to her?
"You set me up on a blind date without my consent?" I asked angrily. However, it was completely ignored by Sofia as she only gave me a sheepish grin.
"Yup! Now don't be a drama queen. You said you will try to be normal." She retorted back, and I could only sigh now. Yes, I said that but I didn't say that I would trust men.
I gave her an annoyed look. But she started giving me those big puppy dog eyes. I groaned again in frustration and looked away but couldn't stop my heart from palpitating.
"Okay!" I said, making her jump excitedly. "But don't expect anything more," I added. She nodded enthusiastically, whilst grinning like an i***t. I hated it!
I gasped when I remembered that we had a customer to attend, but when I turned to look at the table where that guy was sitting, I was surprised.
No one was sitting there. The guy had left already. That's strange!
"What happened?" Sofia asked me. I turned to look at her confused expression.
"Nothing. We had a customer and thanks to you he left." I said, crossing my arms over my chest. I gave her a pointed look, on which she gave her one of those sheepish grins.
"Sorry! Anyway, he had already left and now it’s 6:50. Let’s close so that we can get you ready for your first ever date." She chirped, as I rolled my eyes at her harsh comment. She didn't need to rub it on my face.
We closed the shop early and began to make our way to my apartment.
Something was telling me that today was going to be a long day.

Tyler's POV:
It’d been several days since I’d last seen my angel. Okay, I admit it’s not several days, but it is still four days!
Four days and it was driving me crazy. I was hesitant at first about dragging her in my world, but I knew that I would protect her with my life. But she didn't seem to have any interest in me.
Many girls would fall in my feet but I only wanted her. However, she didn't seem even a bit dazed by my charms. Am I not handsome now?
My thoughts were scattered when a knock erupted at the door.
"Come in!" I called out, and soon Dave stepped in. I looked at him expectedly. I had appointed him in charge of my angel's protection. Obviously, I can't leave her alone after knowing that someone had hurt her, can I?
"What it is, Dave?" I asked in my professional voice. He looked at me with the same professional aura, but he looked somewhat nervous.
"Boss, I have been keeping eye on her as you had said and........I-I have something to tell you.....I think......you would like to know it......" He said, trailing off which annoyed me. I wasn’t the type of guy who liked beating around the bush.
"Say it already damn!" I bellowed, and he lowered his head in submission immediately.
"Well, Miss. Melissa is going on a blind date that has been set by her friend, Sofia." He told me. Rage crept up my veins as a wave of jealousy hit me like a ton of bricks as soon as the words left him mouth. My mind clouded with anger and possessiveness.
"Blind date?! With whom?! Who is he?! Where?!" I yelled, annoyed. Why she has to go on a date? Especially, a blind date! He can be a bad guy or worst a r****t or a murderer? What the f**k?!
"He's a doctor from the same hospital where Melissa had visited Sofia's mother many times. I couldn’t find out where they are going, but he is going to pick her at 8 from near the bakery." He informed dutifully. I clenched my jaw. Only one thought was roaming my mind now.
I looked at my wristwatch. It was 7:30 now.
"Get ready! We are going on a date." I said, getting up to leave. Dave gasped whilst looking at me with an astonished face.
"We?" He said immediately. I could only mentally face palmed myself at his stupidity.
"I mean you will drive me there, idiot."
"Oh! Yes, Boss!" He replied, embarrassed, and quickly left. Sometimes he could really behave like a big stupid. I immediately rushed to my room to get ready.
Today I'm going to murder that so-called doctor!

Melissa's POV:
It was now 7:55 and I was walking to the bakery from where Dylan would pick me. Sofia had left my apartment after helping me in getting ready.
What's so special about a date?
She did my make up, but I didn't let her touch my precious hairs and left them in their natural curls. My dress was simple but elegant and classy. It was a grey skirt which reached just above my knees with a black blouse and I had worn black heels with them. I had also worn a three chains pearl necklace which was my favorite. You could guess that I liked simple things.
As I reached near the bakery I spotted a Black Ford Focus RS which took my breath away. What? I may be a girl but I have a great interest in cars and it is the latest car. Okay, I admit that going on date is worth it in some way.
Now you were guessing how I know that car is Dylan's. Well, I saw him leaning against the door.
As if he’d sensed me coming, he lifted his gaze and looked at me from head to toe. I also looked at him, taking in his appearance. He had black hair and a chiseled jaw beard with brown eyes. In short, you can say that he was a handsome man but not as handsome as Tyler. What?! Where did he pop up from?
I walked towards him where the car was parked. He straightened himself as a gentle smile appeared on his plump lips.
"Hi! I'm-" I started, when I reached him but was caught off. He immediately interrupted me, a bright smile plastered on his face.
"Melissa! How could I not know the name of a beautiful girl like you?" He complimented courteously. He stretched his hand out in front of me.
"Hello, my name is Dylan." He introduced himself. I took his hand to shake but he instead shocked me by kissing the back of my palm.
Heat crept to my checks but I mentally smacked myself. Okay! It’s difficult. How are girls supposed to react on dates?
I questioned myself as his lips lingered for a bit longer on my hand. At the same time, a loud sound of bang heard from behind and Dylan let go of my hand, startled. It felt like someone was watching us. I turned to look at the trash bin from where the sound had come but no one was there.
"Shall we?" He asked, getting back my attention. I turned to look at him. He pointed towards the luxurious car and I nodded, throwing the suspicion at the back of my mind at the sight of the car. I gave him a slight smile and walked to the car with him.
We got settled and the fabulous car roared to life. The interior was also so well and plush. I was looking at the car when he said.
"I think you like my car." He was staring at me with a knowing smile. I gave a half-smile, embarrassed for drooling at his car shamelessly.
"Yeah. Well, I’d heard about this car and it’s a... well, expensive car." I commented, seemingly nonchalant. He chuckled, glancing towards me for a second then back at the road.
"You have a great interest in cars, I see. Well yes, it’s an expensive car but I had my savings and well, I do have rich parents." He said out proud, as he stared out at the road. I nodded, shifting to look outside the window.
The rest of the ride was quiet except for a few times when he would tell me about an expensive painting his father had bought from an exhibition, or his mother buying a diamond necklace whose worth was million dollars. It didn’t sound much interesting to me for some reason.
Soon, we arrived at a restaurant that you could tell was only for rich people. He opened my side of the door like a gentleman and offered me his hand.
I hesitated for a second but gave my hand in his. It felt wrong or maybe weird for a second but I brushed it off.
We went inside the restaurant that was also as luxurious and plush from inside as it was from outside. Dylan asked for the table he had booked for us and the waiter led us to a private booth.
Any girl would get impressed by such a treatment, but I wasn't one of those girls. I would have been happy even if he had taken me to an average fast-food restaurant. But this kind of felt like he was showing off his wealth to me.
We sat as he pulled the chair for me. I glanced awkwardly at him but sat anyways, muttering a “thank you”. He also took his seat in the front chair and the waiter left the menu chart on the table.
I was looking here and there, watching the decor to avoid awkward glances when I felt Dylan's hand on mine and my eyes immediately snapped towards him. He smiled in response. I immediately tried to pull my hand back but he grabbed it tightly. This snapped my tolerance and I was about to pull my hand back harshly, when someone cleared their throat.
Dylan's grip loosened and I immediately pulled my hand back. What had happened next left me in utter shock. My eyes were wide opened while my mouth was hitting the expensive mahogany table, we were sitting at.
"Sir, what would you like to order?" The waiter said but his voice...........?!
I looked up and saw none other than The Mafia King in waiter's dress?
This is going to be a hell of a day!
