*Chapter-7 : Meeting

1559 Words
Tyler's POV: I looked down at her departing figure from up the terrace. She wasn't fine but she still insisted to go. It pissed me off and only she could walk away with that. Her figure vanished from sight once she was far away from the mansion. I glanced at the nearest guard and he nodded in understanding of what he needed to do before leaving. The fact that someone had hurt her urged my inner beast to just kill that person who had brought harm upon her with the most torturous death humankind ever known. Sever, I know but that's how I know to protect the one I loved dearly, the only person. However, that only person was cooperating even a bit right now. Looks like I have to find on my own. "Boss, we have a meeting today at the street fighting club with the Scorpion Gang," Dane said, appearing from behind me. My blood boiled at the mention of that gang. "Again? They are becoming a pain in ass!" I gritted, angrily as I looked at him. Dane nodded and left. They really were becoming a pain in ass. Their leader was an arrogant jackass and you know what? In this field, the members always suffer because of their arrogant leaders and I'm afraid that Scorpian members might be suffering tonight. A wicked grin appeared on my face at the thought of teaching them a lesson and for making them a lesson for other gangs to not mess with the Mafia King. *.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.* Melissa's POV: After leaving Tyler's mansion I went to my apartment and got ready for the bakery without thinking about anything other. I was on autopilot. Because of this exchange of places, I was late but salute to my great friend, Sofia. She was early as always and had already opened the bakery. What will happen to my bakery if it’s not for Sofia looking after it? When I reached the shop I was bombarded with a lot of questions and honestly, I had already predicted it. "Why are you late, Mel? Where were you? Oh My God! What happened to your head? Are you alright? How did it happen? Why-" "Okay, okay, okay, Sofia! Calm down, calm down! Let me sit first." I said, cutting her off. She widened her eyes as if a bulb had gone on in her mind. "Ahh! Yes! Come here and sit." She led me to the chair as if I couldn’t walk on my own. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Nevertheless, it was still warming to know that you have a friend who cares for you. "Is your head hurting? Do you want some coffee? Anything?" I smiled at her caring nature.  It warmed my heart. I grabbed her hand, making her sit with me. "I'm fine, Sofia. See, I had already treated it." I said, pointing to my banded head but the concerned look from her face didn't change a bit. "How did it happen?" She asked, worried. I looked down sadly on remembering my father's doing. She immediately got the hint and hugged me immediately. "I'm sorry, Mel. I shouldn't have asked you. Don't be sad. He doesn't deserve to be a father." She said, consoling me but she already knew that it won't decrease the pain in my heart. The damage my father caused was unrepairable. Father's were every daughter's first hero, but what will happen to them if the father is more like a villain, a terrific nightmare?  We didn't talk further about that and immediately went to our routine work. Time flew by as it was evening now. I was sitting for a break when I got a call from my manager who arranged fights for me. "Hey, Tony. What's up?" I said in an intimidating voice to hide my real voice. Yes, not even my manager knew my real identity. It's safe in this way. I didn't want to meddle in any gang's affair. Many gangs were searching for me or well for Dark Horse. They wanted to hunt him down or add him to their gang. Little did they know that Dark Horse was just a Bakery Girl? "Hey, Dude! Long time no fight. But tonight you have a fight and it will be hard, so be prepared, okay?" He said in his exaggerating voice, causing me to smirk. "You know I like hard fights. I'll be there on time." I said, and hung up the phone. Okay! Tonight I'm going to release all my steam of last night's incidence. Soon, it was closing time as I bid goodbye to a worried Sofia. "Do you really have to go tonight? I mean you are already injured from last night and an injury on your head at that. You need to rest." She said for the hundredth time, worried. She looked at me with concerned eyes. She knew about my street fighting and it was the reason why she was my best friend. We were friends since elementary school and she knew everything from the start. She always supported me and I was really grateful for that. I cupped her cheek with one hand, giving her a grateful smile whilst giving a squeeze to her hand with my other hand. "Don't worry about me. You know I'm a fighter. Get home safe." I said, and left, waving at her. She only waved in return with a still worried face. Okay. Show Time Now! *.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.* Tyler's POV: My men and I got there on time and went straight inside. As soon as I stepped inside, I was hit with the strong smell of alcohol and sweat. The light was dimmed, creating a mysterious atmosphere, and the only bright spot was the fighting ring. Drunken people were howling and cheering crazily at the fighters who were fighting in the ring. I cursed under my breath for coming in this nauseating place. Once I spotted the Scorpion gang's leader sitting at a booth I went there, my men following closely behind me. Dave was beside me but kept a little distance from me. Once I reached there, the leader stood and offered me a handshake with an enthusiastic smile. I simply stared at his outstretched hand, an uninterested look on my face, and then averted my gaze, walking past him without shaking his hand and sat in the booth. He stood there for a while, being embarrassed but soon came to sit in front of me. "Hello, Tyler! It's an honor to get to meet you. I heard a lot about you." He said with a big grin. I looked at him with a bored expression. Seriously, if it wasn’t for the stupid interruption of these morons in my business, I would have never even stepped in this disgusting place. "Well, I would have said the same if you had just accepted my offer without causing any problem." I deadpanned, with a serious face, whilst tilting my head to the side as I stared at him. Sweat beads formed on his forehead and he gave me a nervous smile. He opened his mouth to say something but was shut up when the announcer announced about the next fight. "And now it’s the time of the most interesting fight of the night between the undefeated Dark Horse and Spike the Hulk!" He said in a cheerful voice, and all the people howled in excitement. This caught my attention. I also had heard about the Dark Horse guy that he hadn't been defeated even once. There was a hulk size guy who entered the ring, shouting like an ace and the announcer introduced him as Spike. Now was the turn of that Dark Horse guy. I leant a bit forward in slight curiosity. Dane, the leader, and the other men from both gangs were staring at me before turning their attention to the fighting ring as well. Finally, the announcer called Dark Horse and a lean figured guy in a black hood with black jeans and black soldier shoes stepped in the ring. He had a hood covering his half-face while the other half was also covered with a black mask. I was astonished with the guy's size as compared to its opponent's size. I didn't have any idea that with which type of fighters he had fought before that he wasn't defeated ever, but this... This was going to be a hell of a fight. My interest increased as I watched the fight getting start. The hulk guy didn't wait for the other to attack or take a defensive stance before running towards the Dark Horse with a great force. He pushed him with such a force that he flew back, getting hit on the back. Woah, that was a bad hit. To my surprise, Dark Horse got on his feet soon but the hulk guy again ran towards him to straddle his neck between his arms. Dark Horse dodged him with lightning speed as he moved around him and kicked him at the back of his neck with a backflip. He worked with speed and agility with perfect timing to apply the most effective strategy. Well, that was unexpected. All the audience went silent with the sudden attack and stared at the opponents. after a whole minute passing, Spike fell on the floor after making all the audience howl and cheer for the winner, while some cursed at him because of losing their bets. "And... Again, Dark Horse is the winner! Does anyone want to challenge our champion?! Anyone?!" The announcer yelled excitedly hen no one spoke except......me.
