He’s using what I wanted to keep Peter safe to control me. I wanted locks on the bathroom to keep Peter from drowning. I never, not for one second, thought Joseph would use them against me.
“JOSEPH!” I scream at the top of my lungs, beating on the door. “JOSEPH!!!”
Shit. He killed Thomas. He killed Hazel. Am I next? Is our pup? Peter is safe. He won’t hurt his heir. My heart sinks. He’s the heir that I handed to a guard I barely know and left.
I rush back to the door and beat on it again. “LET ME OUT! PLEASE!”
He doesn’t make a sound, but he’s still there. How can he be so heartless?
“I CAN SMELL YOU, YOU PIECE OF s**t. LET ME OUT!”
I reach into our link and yell at him through that, but he shuts it and locks me out of that, too.
