Cora has been getting ready all morning. I went to my office to get some last-minute things done before we leave for two weeks. We won’t be able to handle all the borders in one trip, but we can check many of them.
I sigh as I open the box with Cora’s crown again. I had worried at first that it was too much. Then I convinced myself that Cora would love it. After our time in the shower earlier this week, I am sure she will hate it.
My mate doesn’t view herself as the queen. Sure, she knows she is. She doesn’t think she’s anything special, though. She doesn’t see how worthy she is of the crown. Generations of queens were hand-selected idiots. Cora, though, is the first true queen in… I don’t even know how long.
