The bikes were finally ready. Eleanor was excited that they were done, but she was also worried that now her and Bella wouldn't have any reason to go out to Jacob's. Her and Jacob had grown quite close, along with her, Quil and Embry.
Unfortunately, Embry wasn't around much anymore. When Eleanor asked Jacob about him, he snapped at Eleanor and told her not to bring him up again.
Now, Eleanor sat in the back seat on Bella's truck and leaned her head out the window.
"If I would've told you I couldn't fix these bikes, what would you have said?" Jacob suddenly asked.
Eleanor chuckled, "are you doubting your mad skills?"
"No, definitely not," he laughed, "It's just..."
"If you told me you wouldn't have been able to fix these bikes, I'd say that's really too bad, but he's going to have to find something else to do," Bella said, and El smiled.
Eleanor looked out the window, and frowned, "is that Sam Uley?"
A group of boys stood on top of a cliff. Eleanor watched as Sam and another boy dragged forward one of them, and pushed him off the cliff. Bella gasped and slammed on her breaks.
She quickly put the truck in park and opened her door, "oh, my God! Did you see that?"
Jacob and Eleanor followed her, before Jake laughed, "relax, Bella! They're not fighting, they're cliff jumping. Scary as hell, but a total rush."
Eleanor saw the wheels turning in Bella's head, and mentally cursed Jacob, "a rush?"
"Most of us jump from lower down," Jake continued, "we'll leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples."
Eleanor glanced over at him and frowned, "do you have some kind of beef with them?"
He shook his head, "they just think they own the place. Embry used to call them 'hall monitors on steroids,' now look at him."
El's jaw dropped, and she looked over to the boys, "that's Embry? What happened to him?"
"He missed some school, and all of a sudden, started following Sam around like a little puppy. Same thing with Jared and Paul. Sam keeps giving me this look, like he's... waiting for me or something. Creeps me out."
Eleanor stared over at the boys, and the Quileute legends ran through her mind. She remembered hearing about them a little while before she met Bella and Jacob. She knew vampires were real, but were werewolves? At this point, it wouldn't surprise her.
"Come on, El."
She threw one more look to the group, before climbing back in Bella's truck. The rest of the ride to the clearing didn't take long, and she could feel her excitement growing. She had never ridden a motorcycle before.
Jacob unloaded the bikes, and leaned one up against a rock. He lead the other one over to Bella and Eleanor, "who wants to go first?"
"Me!" Eleanor yelled, and jumped in front of Bella. The brunette glared at Eleanor as she climbed on the bike.
"Okay, this is the break, the clutch, and the gas," Jake showed her, "when you're ready, slowly release the clutch."
Eleanor nodded, and took a deep breath. She slowly released the clutch, and laughed once the bike started rolling. She put her feet up on the side, and stared at the ground in front of her. Eleanor carefully steered the motorcycle, and slowed it down to turn around the rock. She pressed the gas further down to make the bike go faster, and sped back to Jacob, "that was wicked!"
The three laughed, as Eleanor climbed off the bike. Bella walked over to Jake, and climbed on the seat. He quickly explained where everything was again. Eleanor gasped when Bella released the clutch too fast, and jolted forward, "I'm okay. I want to go again."
Eleanor and Jake watched as Bella took off. She narrowed her eyes at Bella, and entered her mind once again. The girl was only focused on Edward, not caring about steering the bike or where it was headed.
"Hit the break!" Jacob yelled, and Eleanor snapped out of it fast enough to see Bella flip over the front and crash into a rock. Jacob and Eleanor got on the other bike, and sped toward Bella.
"Are you okay?" Eleanor crouched down next to her.
"I'm fine," she began to sit up, "I want to go again."
"Are you stupid?" Eleanor asked, but Jacob stopped her.
"You're bleeding, Bella." Jacob observed, before stripping his shirt off and holding it over Bella's head. Eleanor raised an eyebrow as she took in his shirtless form.
Bella stared up at Jacob with a soft smile on her face, "you're kinda beautiful."
Jacob's hand paused on her forehead. Eleanor gave Bella an amused look, "how hard did you hit your head?"
Bella looked at the two of them confused, and Eleanor bumped Jacob's shoulder, "let's go. She needs to get to the hospital."

"Can I sit with you guys?"
Eleanor and Angela cut their conversation and looked up to see Bella Swan. Eleanor raised an eyebrow, "yeah, of course!"
She moved over enough so that Bella could fit another chair in the cramped space. Eleanor smiled at her friend, and Bella smiled before poking her fork at her fruits.
"I did see something in the woods, though," Angela began talking again.
Eric laughed, "yeah, I believe you babe."
"No he doesn't, he's just trying to get lucky," Eleanor teased and poked her tongue out at Eric.
"It was jet black and huge," Angela ignored her friends, "on all fours it was still bigger than a person."
Jess frowned, "a bear maybe?"
"Or an alien," Mike laughed, "you're lucky you didn't get probed."
Eleanor punched his arm, and he winced. Bella looked up from her plate, "you're not the only one, Angela. My dad keeps getting reports at the station. Like five hikers have been killed by some bear. But they can't find the bear."
Eric quickly wrapped an arm around Angela, "last time you clowns doubt my girlfriend."
Eleanor scoffed, "Eric, shut up."
"So Bella's back!" Mike smiled, "look now that you're talking and eating again, I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie with me."
Jess scowled at Mike and Bella, not bothering to hide her bitterness, "actually, why don't we all go see a movie?"
"Which one?" Eleanor asked.
"What about 'Face Punch'" she suggested, and El made a face, "an action movie, you know?"
Everyone agreed, and Jess smiled, sarcastically "yay! Movie night with Bella."
