Chapter 6 By the time I arrived home that evening it was five-thirty. Wil had messaged me saying he had a late house viewing and wouldn’t be home until around seven-thirty and to eat without him. I kicked off my shoes and reheated leftover risotto while I scrolled aimlessly through my phone. i********: reels were highly addictive and the perfect distraction to take my mind off my life. After picking at the risotto, I decided to do something more productive and get the apartment in order. Maybe use it as thinking time to find an answer on how to deter Nick from the café. There had to be a way. Half an hour later, the apartment shone like something out of a Home Beautiful magazine. The only room I hadn’t tackled was Wil’s office. I checked my watch. Still half an hour until he was due home
