Chapter 20 The next morning I woke thinking of Leo and it immediately brought a smile to my face. He had been the perfect gentleman, driving me back to Bari and then walking me to Domenic’s house—well, just around the corner—and under the darkness of the arch he had kissed me goodnight. It had been hard to pull away from him, and our hands had lingered as we went our separate ways. It was something out of a romantic foreign language movie, the one’s that always made me fall asleep trying to concentrate on the subtitles.
