Selene POV
"Me?" My voice came out like a squeak leaving me mortified.
"Yes you, are you going somewhere?" Lilith asked.
"Emm, yes we ran out of juice in the dining hall, I want to get it from the kitchen" I replied trying so hard to hide the fact that I was a bit startled.
"Let's go then"
My jaws dropped open as I stared at Lilith, what has gotten into her, this cold woman was acting all nice and warm with me..
"Come on" her voice rang out again breaking me out of my thoughts. "You don't want to keep your guests waiting now do you?"
That is exactly how I ended up, walking with Lilith all the way to the kitchen in silence, she didn't say a word but the sound of my heart beat sure did enough justice to it.
