The facial expression his face held was daring and a bit intimidating. I tried ignoring him, reminding myself that there was no need to be so afraid of him and rather he should be sorry because it's because of him that I had to work so very late rather than just stay home.
I took a deep breath, muttering enough courage to walk past him. The last thing I needed was to have to go through unnecessary arguments with him.
Before I could make it past him, he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back, refraining me from moving forward. I was surprised by his actions and wanted to get free from his grasps, but he was obviously stronger than I am.
