s***h AND EDDIE, adorable miniature, long-haired dachshunds, yanked at their leashes, yapping at the geese that were busy destroying the park grass with their feces. Officer Mandy Toboggan named her dogs after her two favorite guitarists.
“Boys, chill out!” Mandy scolded her little canines.
“Those geese would tear your dogs to shreds,” Detective Lauren Gabriel noted, rolling her wheelchair alongside Mandy. The two law enforcement officers were meeting at Harvey Park, in suburban Southwest Denver, to compare notes on the serial killer investigation.
“Let’s find a bench. I need to get these insane dogs to mellow out.”
