“You seem in good spirits, honey,” Bunny noted.
“All things considered, I supposed I’m… not quite so miserable right now.”
“Well, I like to hear that. Tell me what’s making you ‘not quite so miserable’.”
“I’m just feeling, I don’t know, a little valuable.”
“Care to elaborate?”
“Umm… no.” Lauren did not want to disclose that she was sneaking into the evidence lockers and reviewing information on both the LoDo murders and the Game Night murder case. “Let’s just leave it at that. You know, I haven’t had d**k in almost two years, and I’m confined to this f*****g two-wheeled prison, but for the first time in a long time I feel like I’m contributing something to this world.”
