DETECTIVE CLYDE MONROE was mostly a good man with some very alarming habits. Clyde and his wife LaDawna had been married for sixteen years. The couple had four children, ages fifteen, fourteen, twelve, and seven. They had a nice home in Centennial, with a hot tub, which Clyde enjoyed, rain, snow, or shine, no matter how late he would come home from work, for an hour before going to bed. The Monroes had two dogs, Mocha and Dasher, and a Guinea pig, Romeo. The Monroes and the Wingos – Hawthorne, his wife Juana, and their ten-year-old boy HJ – socialized several times a month. The Monroes were seemingly the perfect family. Clyde Monroe was also addicted to strippers. Nastasi knew Clyde long before he and Wingo paid her a visit. Kimmy Leopard knew Clyde.
