Trey pulled out of the access to the airport and onto the road leading toward the freeway. He glanced at Jonathan, who was sitting next to him before he looked into the rearview mirror at his other two passengers. The tension in the back seat was enough to cut with a knife. Trey released a quiet sigh of disappointment. He had waited too long to make his move on Allie from the look of it. That seemed to be the story of his life. “Hayden Wild has Indiana at his penthouse downtown,” he explained as he entered the freeway. His eyes flashed to the mirror to make sure the lane was clear as he pressed the gas to get over to the center lane. “Hayden Wild told the police that Indiana was a recovering drug addict and had called because he refused to give her money for her next fix a few hours ago.
