“You can’t go!! It isn’t safe for you!!” Lance steps in front of me and blocks my path to the bedroom door.
Waves of anger flow off me as I snarl at him. “I can’t let the monster get away with this! He needs to be punished! AND HARD!!”
I pour my rage into my words and direct the full force of it at him, but it doesn’t faze him. Sympathy pools in his gaze as he nods. “Yes.
