Trinity POV
I stare out the hospital window at the black evening sky. Nothing is visible, and it seems to know what I’m thinking and feeling. Instead of a dark cloud, it has given me a dark sky.
I need to get out of here. They say it is safer here than any other place, but I don’t trust the Lycans to not do something to me.
Even the older lady from the council today had a look in her eyes, which I couldn’t place. She had the usual sympathy and an air of professionalism, but there was something else. When she talked about me being the only female alpha in over a 100 years, something else lit up in her eyes.
It doesn’t scare me, but it gives me an uneasy feeling which I don’t like.
I wiggle my feet, but they only move a little.
