Trinity POV
The pain in Lance’s voice stabs me right through the heart. He is hurting and so am I.
My wolf catapults forward. “Let him in. I’ve told you Lycans aren’t to be feared, no matter what you’ve been told or believe. They aren’t your enemy. Many other things are, but they aren’t. If there is a term for them which you would understand, it would be a peacekeeper. They are like the big brother protectively watching over their younger siblings, and if anyone causes trouble, they are right there to handle it and keep the peace. They aren’t out to harm you. Lance is your mate. He only loves you. You have to believe in your heart and in me. You know I’m telling you the truth.”
