I step up to the podium and look out across the training field at my pack members. Curious eyes stare back at me. My gaze stops on my son and my new son-in-law at the front of the crowd. Neither of them is curious, but they both have questions swirling around in their eyes. My son-in-law fidgets with the seam of his pants.
The Lycan King’s word rush back to me, along with the council woman I talked to yesterday. Someone from within my pack did this to my daughter. It was an inside job. Who would have the guts to do something like that to my daughter, the pack, and me?
