Chapter 2: Lifeless Body

The lifeless body's face moved to the other side gently and Aria's body froze as she recognized the blood-stricken face, the nylon bag on her hand dropped on the floor with medicine spilling on the floor.

"M..mom" Tears filled her eyes as she spoke in a silent broken voice. Aria sat on the ground and pulled her mom's lifeless body to her.

"Mom, wake up, Mom!!" Tears poured freely from her eyes, she shook her mom's body profusely.

"Mom, don't do this to me, Mom!"

"Somebody help!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, her hands and cloth were stained with her mom's blood.

Slowly people were starting to gather around, they kept whispering among themselves.

"Someone please call 911!!, call 9...11" Aria's voice was so broken as she was already losing it.

Only one person in the crowd immediately called 911 after hearing her screams again

Aria hugged her mom's body as she cried in pain.

When the ambulance arrived, they declared Mrs Dawson dead.

Aria who was soaked in blood all through hugged herself as she watched the paramedics carry her mom's corpse into the ambulance covered in a white sheet. She could not even shed tears anymore, her eyes were puffy already. Slowly her mom's blood stained right hand slipped out from under the sheet.

As the ambulance drove off, the crowd began to disperse with some of them saying:

"I can't believe she killed herself without thinking about her daughter"

"Oh poor Aria, she's witnessed her mom's death, she's going to be traumatized for life"

Only Mrs Dorothy one of their neighbours came to her

"Aria I'm so sorry about what happened to your mother, if you need anything you can always come to my place"

Aria only nodded her head with a face lookin soulless.

Mrs Dorothy sighed and walked away while shaking her head in pity, what happened was terrible for their neighbourhood.

"Aria!" A guy's voice called out.

Aria looked up with red eyes she saw her best friend Rowan. He ran towards her.

"Ro... Rowan my mom" Aria pointed at where the ambulance had been before. Suddenly the tears started pouring out from her eyes again.

"It's okay I heard what happened" Rowan said and hugged her tightly not minding the blood on her body.
