Maya's POV
Vivienne was dying in front of us.
It felt like a dream playing before my eyes.
We'd brought her to Kieran's office to explain everything. To tell him about The Circle's blackmail. About her brother being held hostage. About the poison she'd been forced to leave at dead drops.
She'd just started talking when it happened.
Her body seized. Convulsed violently. She collapsed to the floor, foam forming at her lips.
"Vivienne!" Kieran dropped beside her, trying to hold her still.
