Chapter 10:
Victor's Interrogation
My heart was still pounding from my confrontation with Kieran when I heard footsteps behind me.
I'd just left the healer's ward. Left Kieran standing there with confusion and pain written all over his face. I'd denied being Celeste. Sworn by the Moon Goddess that I wasn't her.
Technically, it was true. I wasn't Celeste anymore. Not fully. I was Raven too. A merged soul. Something new.
But the look on Kieran's face when I rejected him...
