The afternoon sky radiated a gentle orange hue, spreading slowly among the thin clouds. The air was still warm, but the soft breeze drifting by made everything feel peaceful. Ryan and Adriana walked side by side along the path that wound through the castle’s back garden, where wildflowers had begun to bud. Some had already bloomed, releasing a sweet fragrance that mingled with the evening air.
Adriana reached for Ryan’s hand, clasping it tightly as she smiled at the rows of lavender blooming along the edge of the path.
“Do you see that? The lavender’s starting to bloom. I’m sure in a week, this garden will be full of color.”
