—Michelle! Michelle! It’s time to go, I don’t want to be late. Its my first day in 3rd grade, and yours in 6th grade! It’s going to be awesome!— I shouted as Michelle was changing herself in the bathroom, I never understood why she took so long changing! But well, what can I do? —Mayra, breakfast’s ready— my mom called to me. I put my shoes and I ran into the kitchen, it was smelling good! Dad was there, in my usual seat spot; I didn’t want to be in trouble, so I took a deep breath, and I sat on his seat, —Good, good morning dad— I said, —Good morning Mayra— he answered. Finally, when I was about to finish breakfast, Michelle came. —Silly Mayra, I am entering 7th grade, not 6th!— She said, so I answered to her —Oops!, sorry, I totally forgot.— . When we were getting in the car, I noticed Michelle was in a bad mood; you know what that meant? I bet you don’t, it means she will be in a bad, bad mood all day. A month later• What can I say? It’s been hard, not academically, but with Mich. Just a few days ago, she insisted that I called her Mich, I usually call her Michelle, Elle, Michie and Mich Very few times. But she said Mich sounded cooler. So it is Mich now, I don’t want her to be mad. But, I have noticed, she doesn’t even hang out with me anymore! Last week, I spent about an hour preparing the doll house, I called her and asked —Michie.. let’s play dolls!— very happily, but she was too busy chatting with her friends. She said —Mary, I am with my friends, please, leave me alone, I am big now. I don’t play with… dolls—. Dang bro, it hurt. Again, what can I say? Today, I picked up my toys, put them inside the toy box, I thought I put them all in, but I was wrong, Lillie, my favorite plushie, was under my bed, I picked it up and I put it next to my pillow. Actually, Mich barely talks to me now, shes always with her friends
