Chapter Six: Judas

Demigoddess Rowena
Smoke and screams. That was what I first took in, then the smell of blood hit my nostrils. I looked around in horror seeing dead bodies everywhere. Some of the dead were children and pregnant she-wolves. They spared nobody. This is a bloody fucken g******e. Who the f**k kills children? Beside me, Skye and Logan had shifted back. They were coughing violently. The smoke burning must be wolfsbane. Oh no! That means Alpha Gideon is without Severus. I started to panic, hoping I wouldn’t find him in the pile of bodies,
“Air, I need you. Please clear the air of smoke and wolfsbane. Please send us fresh air to breathe!” I waved my hand and yellow wisps appeared.
The smell immediately hit me, copper. One hundred vampyres were slaughtering the werewolves mercilessly. I was confused. Vampyres don’t even kill humans because an alive consort is better than a dead one. Never-ending blood tap. Why would they go after werewolves? They’re not as violent as movies made them out to be. I called water next to stop the houses from burning further. It was useless as most places were already too far gone. Blue wisps cleared the fire. I was looking around to see what other aid I could offer when Alpha Gideon came into view. A vampyre held him down while another was about to stick his fangs in their neck,
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” His head whipped to me and I swore his face was full of relief.
I blasted them away while running towards him. I was a few steps away when I heard a terrifying scream. I looked to my right and I see one of his bunnies naked, being held down by two vampyres. One was sucking her blood while groping her breasts and the other one was removing his belt. I saw red. How dare they? I flicked them off and ran to her. I helped her up then shoved her behind me. I snarled. I may not like her, but I wouldn’t allow that to happen to anyone. No one deserves that. The fear in her screams and eyes, the way she was shaking it brought me back to my past and I remember it all too well. It fueled my rage and without even asking, Fire took charge. The vampyres went up in flames. I turned around to the woman I saved. She engulfed me in a hug. I noticed a few wolves shifting and began fighting back.
Within a few minutes, the wolves were winning the fight. Once the vampyres noticed this, they ran off. I was about to go to Alpha Gideon and make sure he was okay. Of course, he was with the woman that really matters to him. He was hugging a crying One. They were both naked and she was rubbing herself on him like a b***h in heat. I turned to Skye, Jaxs, Logan and Oliver instead. The bunny I saved, still holding me and shaking, followed behind me meekly. I throw my arms around Logan and cry. I can’t help it so many people are dead. Homes burned down. There’s mates crying, parents who lost children, children sobbing over their deceased parents. I couldn’t handle all the emotion as a witch and especially as a future high priestess. I’m more attuned to everyone’s feelings. That and I’m a little hurt at my mate’s actions. I hear a loud growl and turn around to see Alpha Gideon stalking towards us,
“What the f**k is going on here?” He clenched his jaw,
“Comforting my girl the way you were comforting yours,” Logan smirked,
I was about to say something snarky when he grabbed my arms, pulled me off Logan, shoved me against a tree,
“He-”
“Shut up” He slammed his lips onto mine.
Shots of electricity shot through my body and I melted. My mind logically knew I should push him away, my body just wouldn’t let me. He deepened the kiss wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer. I was basically on my tippy toes, so I jumped and wrapped my legs around him. He moaned as my warm center came in contact with his hard c**k. He gripped my ass while I snaked my fingers into his hair. His tongue swept against my teeth then he lightly bit my lips. I bit back, opened my mouth our tongues fighting not for dominance but more of each other. He bucked his hips against me. I whimpered, so he did it again. I heard a whine from behind and saw One with her arms crossed, throwing a hissy fit while Skye held her back. It brought me out of my lust-induced state.
SMACK!
“How dare you take away my first kiss Alpha Gideon! How dare you kiss me after kissing her!” I raised my hand to hit him again. He stopped me,
“It’s Lachlan for you, little Demigoddess.” He smirked and stepped closer,
“Two is dead. I was simply comforting my pack member. Jealousy isn’t cute.” He tried to kiss me again.
I shoved him off as the Alpha of the Bloodstone pack came forward. He asked to speak with him. I got lucky he was horny and had to take care of Alpha business because hitting an Alpha is just plain stupid, even if I am a demigoddess. I walk around, seeing if there is anything I can do to help. I see pack members digging a hole. Everything I stopped them. I ask Earth to open up. I use my powers to move them all in there. Everyone kept thanking me. I didn’t want any thanks. I excused myself because I was feeling exhausted. Using the elements is draining even for an experienced user. I’m still learning, so it is even more consuming. I went and sat under a tree, grounding myself and soaking up energy from mother nature. After a while, the bunny I saved appear,
“Luna-” I narrowed my eyebrows,
“Demigoddess.” She corrected,
“Can I talk to you? I know you have no reason to trust me. I want to say thank you.” She pleaded,
She sat next to me under the tree. We stared at each other in uncomfortable silence for about five minutes. I could tell she was nervous. She was playing with her fingers. I nodded my head,
“I know I don’t deserve it not with the way I allowed you to be treated. You are his mate. I should have stepped aside. I’m so sorry and even after that, you saved me. I know this is already a long shot but can you help me again? She asked,
“What do you need? I asked, curious,
“Well, Demigoddess, Not sure if you know how the Alpha picks his bunnies but some of the
criteria are of consenting age, tall, fit, blonde, un-mated and sexually submissive. Well, that’s me, but all I want is to find my mate. I only did this because my mom begged me. She figured the closer I am to the Alpha , the closer she is to the Alpha.” She looked down,
“My mom has always been interested in social status. I know you did a spell to find your soulmate sooner. Can you do the same for me? I have some tips for making the Alpha more interesting in you. Not that you need it, considering he couldn't get hard when he was with us yesterday. By the way, my name is Rebbeca or Becca but call me Five around the Alpha.” She mumbled quickly
I stared at her, amazed that she got all that out without fainting.
“Wow, um, I can help you with the spell. However, you should know it comes at a great sacrifice. We are meant to meet naturally. Doing this spell interferes with destiny and fate. It's going to hurt to look at me. Maybe my punishment was coming too soon when he wasn't ready, while he still had you five.” I warned,
“I'm willing to make the painful sacrifice. I'm willing to accept that meeting my mate might hurt, but it’s better than not knowing him right? I’ve done some shitty things. Maybe I deserve it. Listen, Mandy is unstable; that’s One, by the way. She believes that the Alpha is her real mate and that the Moon Goddess made a mistake,
“So Mandy thinks Hekate, who wolves refer to as the Moon Goddess, made a mistake? I don’t think that is possible. He does seem to like her more than he likes me,” I nod
“That's not true. You don’t understand how manipulative she is,” Becca warned.
Suddenly thunder filled the sky, and my dream came back to me. Mumbling to myself, I took off running.
Alpha Lachlan Gideon
I was rock hard talking to Alpha Kobain. That was the kiss they used to inspire romance novels. I felt the whole world tilt on its axis everything was brighter. I sound like some sappy teenage girl having her first crush. I didn’t care. The feelings I felt were so foreign to me. When we shifted back forcefully, I knew this would be a nasty fight. We were all weakened b.y the wolfsbane but still gave our best. There was soo many vampyres they took us out effortlessly. I started thinking about Rowena, my little demigoddess, such a feisty little thing. I hated the fact that I hadn’t tasted her. I felt like I was at the end and I just wanted to see her face one last time. Like magick, my little mate appeared. She saved me again.
I had never been so relieved to see anyone ever. I just had to kiss Rowena. It was glorious. I knew Severus was sitting there with the biggest ‘I told you so’ smug look in my mind. I barely listened to what Alpha Kobain said, so I was shocked to hear him thank me. It turns out I agreed to let the surviving wolves from each pack join ours. I’m not mad. It’s something I would have offered anyways. We have the room and their lives are ruined. They need a fresh start away from these memories. Sadly only 30 members between the two packs survived. They were almost all dead by the time we got here. It was like the vampyres knew we were coming. It was still so strange and something smelt off with some of the vampyres. Rowena was suddenly rushing towards us with Five closely following,
“WHERE IS SHE?” She was frantic,. Everything looking around
“Who? I asked,
“My mother, the reason I came here was that I had a vision she was about to kill you.” She looked around nervously,
“f**k! You have a traitor in your pack.” I growled.
What does she mean I have a traitor who would dare betray me? I’m Alpha Lachlan Gideon. HOW DARE THEY!? She waves her hand and opens a portal. She stops as she steps through and looks at Jaxs.
“I’ll keep it open you make sure everyone gets through, then close it.” She ran through.
Skye, Logan, Five and I ran after her. Standing there just outside the border Rowena put in was The High Priestess. She had a knife to my Maes pregnant belly wearing a Cheshire smile,
“Finally, this was getting boring,” She mused,
“Your foolish sister crossed the line to protect my foolish daughter. So now I ask you, Alpha Lachlan Gideon, who do you choose? Your pregnant sister or your mate?” She pushed the knife a little more challenging.
I’m frozen to the spot, unable to respond or even think. Of course, I choose my sister. I raised her and Mae has always held the soft place of my heart being the baby. I knew Severus was mad. I looked at Rowena and the look she had almost broken me, she knew. She smiled and it was the saddest smile I have ever seen. She stepped forward,
“He picks his sister, let her go. I’m the one you want.” She stepped closer,
Genevieve shoved my sister away and grabbed Rowena by the hair dragging her closer. She pulled so hard she started to bleed. Mae came to me sobbing her sorry. I held her wrapped her up in a tight hug. Her mate came through the portal, sensing her discomfort, took her from me. She cried hard in his arms while he rubbed her belly. I had a flash of Rowena round with my pups, and I knew I f****d up,
“I’ll be getting rid of this ugly colour as soon as possible.” Genevieve cackled,
I turned around just in time to see Genvieve pull out a knife and stab Rowena in the stomach. She waved her hand a portal appeared. f**k she was going to take Rowena with her. I ran to her, but Five was closer. She shifted and jumped on Genevieve, taking her through the portal.
“Noooo, Becca!” Rowena shouted,
She tried to get up to save her but I held her back.
“ No! No! No! This is all my fault!” She sobbed.
I was about to comfort her when One pushed herself in between us, threw her hands around my neck, then kissed me,
“Oh baby, she put your sister in danger. Two is dead. Now Five was taken.” She turned to Rowena,
“It is all your fault Five was taken,” She said aggressively,
“How dare you use her real name? Your mother wanted you and almost harmed the Alphas sister.” She continued.
I shoved her off me and rushed to Rowena. She was bleeding fatally but she, a Demigoddess she can’t die, can she? I listened as her heart rate increased,
“Shift,” She said hoarsely.
I did as she asked but I didn’t take a back seat. I was active this time when I shifted because I wanted to know what she needed from Severus. Apparently, he already knew being her familiar and nudged her with his nose. She lifted her shirt up. He growled when he saw the wound but licked over it. Almost immediately, she started healing. She ran her hands through my fur and pet me.
‘Thanks, Severus.’
I shifted back and we stared at each other I was stroking her arm when she sat up,
“I need to save Becca!” Her eyes widen,
“Don’t worry, she didn’t tell me her name. I used my magick to make her tell me.” She's obviously lying so I laughed,
“You’re a bad liar.” I teased,
“Why aren’t you looking for Five? Someone touched one of your bunnies and you’re just going to allow it? What happened to you, Alpha? You haven’t even fully mated and she's already making you weaker!” One snapped.
“You will not speak to me this way. I am still your Alpha. We are wolves. If you want to go up against a palace full of witches plus the High Priestess and Priest without a plan go right ahead.” She bowed her head in submission,
“Sorry Alpha.” She mumbled,
“Did you like being an actual bunny?” I spat,
“How did she know I was pregnant?” Mae asked,
“What?” One said nervously,
“She specifically called and taunted me, telling me I would be the reason the Luna was dead and my brother would hate me forever. I’m so stupid I don’t know why I fell for it. When I got close enough to the border, she used magick to get me. I’m so sorry,” Mae sobbed,
“It’s okay, Mae its not your fault. It’s mine!” Rowena whispered.
She looked up at me and caressed my face with one hand. She had a small smile. She stood up on her tippy toes and kissed me. First, it started out softly, then it grew with hunger. I had gripped her hips and pulled her into me. I was too busy feeling her up to notice she had open a portal,
“Goodbye, mate, I’m so sorry Ill fix this. I promise to get your bunny back.” She pecked me one more time.
Then she pushed me hard. I fell before I could stand to stop her, she was gone. I growled so loud the pack grounds shook and every wolf bared their neck in submission. I was shaking with anger. She left me! How could she leave me! Severus was whimpering in my head, blaming me for picking my sister and making her feel like a second choice again. She went after Five because she thinks I care more about the bunnies then her. I There was a pain in my chest. I tried to claw it out. It took Skye, Logan, Oliver, Jaxs, and Alpha Kobain to hold me down. When they released me, I walked towards the packhouse straight into my office, trashing everything in my way. Swearing and breaking everything in sight. Everyone followed me and just stood there and watched. One reached out to grab my arm while I have the love seat in the air and she purrs,
"Forget about her, let's go to our room and I can make your stressful day go away, Lachy.” She rubbed herself against me, moaning.
I grabbed her by throat and slammed her against the wall,
"She left me and it's all your fucken fault. If my mate dies, I will give you a punishment worse than death, do you understand?" I slammed her harder this time,
"You had to call me weak, questioned me, and made her think this was all her doing. I see the way you look at her like you're better than her but you're not. She's a fucken Demigoddess, my mate, the destined Luna of this pack and you’re just one of the women I picked for pleasure. By the way, whatever the f**k you're wearing smells like s**t. " I threw her on the ground and turn to Jaxs,
"Take her to her room and lock her in there.” I continued smashing things,
“I don't want to see her again for a while.” I huffed.
I was reminded of something Rowena and Mae said. How did the High Priestess know Mae was pregnant? So we really do have a traitor! I’ll torture them for months before I finally kill them. I won’t show them mercy by giving them a quick death no. I will have them begging. And only when they stop and become accustomed to the torture will I end their lives. Not only did they betray me and the pack they put Mae in danger. Now my little mate went off to find Five.
