The rest of the evening passed quickly as we tried to figure out what had happened. Still, we were unsure of what part Selene had, other than trying to save herself. If what Sophie said was true, she could be decaying into nothing. The war between shifters and hunters had been ongoing for several decades, and because of that, not many werewolves and lycans were left able to worship her. Perhaps she was only desperate to stay alive?
Soon, light faded into darkness, and with darkness followed the urge to sleep. Sophie was yawning repeatedly from her side on the bed, but she tried desperately to stay engrossed in our conversation. The eager part of her, yearning to learn and obtain knowledge still amazes me now as much as it did when we first met.
