Sophie When I woke up in our soft sheets, I had a small smile on my face. I felt relaxed, well-rested and calm again. His scent was everywhere in our bedroom, calming my nerves instantly. After stretching my arms above my head to get rid of the remainder of sleep, my hand reached out for him, only to find his side of the bed cold and empty. My eyes fluttered open, glancing around in the quiet bedroom, wondering where he was, but I didn’t feel worried at all, only sad his warm body wasn’t there to snuggle into. I flung my bare legs over the edge of the bed, a yawn escaping my lips as I tried to listen after him in the bathroom. Maybe he took a shower?
