I walked into the hospital and immediately asked to see the doctor. I explained about the flowers and the book. He seemed hesitant but once I showed it to him he quickly jumped on board. He carefully took the flowers from me and I went to Carter and John’s room and turned the stroller into a bassinet and got Rosie all comfortable. After a few minutes the doctor came in and carefully used a syringe to trickle the tea into John and Carter’s mouths. Once they regained consciousness. The doctor had them drink the rest of the tea just to make sure they were okay. The doctor insisted that they stay for a couple hours for observation. After that they were free to go. Carter, John, Tara, Rosie and I headed home. The next day Tara invited us over. We got around and headed over. Everybody sat around the living room and Carter held Rosie on his lap. Tara passed out tea to everyone after some light hearted chanting. Tara said she had something to announce. ”So while you men were being lazy bums,” Tara teased. “I found out some wonderful news.” She paused. “I’m pregnant.’ ”What,” cried John standing. “Are you sure?” ”Yes, I took the test yesterday morning.” ”I can’t believe this,” John said, scooping Tara up in a hug. “Congrats,” Carter said with a big smile. I planned a big baby shower forTara and Carter planned a party for John. It was a blast. A few months later Carter and I got woken up by a frantic message from John. Tara was in labor. Three hours later Tara and John had a beautiful bouncing baby boy. They named him Owen Asher Dane.
