Royal Two: Royalties

For today I have my martial arts training. We did this atleast thrice a week. This is the exicting part of being a royalty. I went to the battlefield and greet my mentor. I smile at my mentor and grab my bow and arrow. This is my favorite weapon. I focus and get my target.

"Bullseye!" I smirk.

I heard my mentor's clap. "Very good as before, Princess Cassandra. You're improving day by day." She complemented. "So now let's practice the sword. Let's have a duel!"

I was stunned when Miss Dalia attacked me with the sword. She was really fast and professionally skilled. But of course I won't back out. I also attacked her and do some defense stunts. After a few hours of duel,I still won. Of course,I'm great.

"You did a great job, Your Highness. You may take a rest" she bow her head before she leave me in battleground.

I'm sweating a lot and I'm also thirsty. My handmaiden handed me a water and towel. I'm so tired and I want to eat a chips and sweets. I came back to the palace with my handmaidens.

"Loila, serve me a chocolate and chips in my room" I stated.

"No! You're not allowed to eat fatty foods, Cassandra" Mom said, we bumped her. "Why you're so always hard headed, Cassandra? All I want is the best for you. You just did was to disappoint me, us." She's here again with her word of wisdom or should I say 'nagging'.

I lie in my bed because of tiredness and little bit not in a mood. My mother scolded me again. I thought I'm used to it but if I hear a hurtful words from her, it's always painful. Yeah, I get her point but she never listen to me.

Hays! I want to freshen my mind. The door open, thought that it was just a chamber maid. But my cousins jump off in my bed. I rolled my eyes. I want to rest but they are here bugging me.

"Cassy, wake up. Let's have a party. Get up!" Vince said

(Napantig ang tenga ko sa narinig) "What did you say? Did you just said 'party'? What are you talking about?"

"Well, we're giving Calli a Farewell Party. She's leaving soon and she wants to feel the moment that she's still free." It's evident in Zammy's tone the sadness. Who would not be? She won't see her sister for years.

"No. A little bit higher. Wait, yeah yeah, that's perfect."

We're busy to arrange the decorations and drinks to our secret room. This is our favorite place. Coz we can do all we want without our parents knowing. We're sneaking beverages and prohibited chips in this room. It's part of the rules that we only have food plan.

I roam the place around. It makes me smile seeing my cousins helping each other. Ever since we all grow up together. We share everything, even our pains and happiness. The most beautiful thing happen in this palace is the Limson Cousins. They are so precious.

"Cass. Cassy? Ah, we're almost done." I nod to Kleo.

I'm excited. After a minute Calli came. We started our party and we all having our fun. Who says Prince and Princess can't have fun? It's just a rule, we are Limson.

"Cheers!!"

We drink and dance like we are wild and free. There's so much sweet and chips and it feels like paradise. I eat a lot to release my stress. I came to Farrah's seat.

"I'm allowing you to drink but don't be drunk, okay?" I warned her. She nod.

We play the stereo and dance freely. We're also giving our message to Calli. Afterall, we won't see her for years and we'll surely gonna miss her. And after she came back she will be different. She won't act freely coz she will always think about the nation. If she will came back she will no longer a Princess but a Queen.

"Hey, my lovey, we share everything since we're young. I don't need to give a long message to express how much I love and how much I'm gonna miss you. I know for sure, you'll gonna be a great Queen. I just hope I won't take your steps. I don't have anything to say, I love you, My Calli" I said.

I'm not a cheesy kind of person but I know and they know that I love them so much. After the messages we took a picture and drink some more. My other cousins already sleep in the couch. I'm also dizzy and the place is already turning.

"I hate this place. I hate the Law. I hate the Rules. I want to get out of here. I want to be free"

"As if. We all want that but what we should do? Nothing."

"Ah, whatever----"

I wake up in the morning with a heavy heart. I touch my head because it's painful. I roam my eyes and saw how the place was so chaotic and messy. Drink cups and bottles are all around the place, even in the floor. The chips was scattered on the floor.

And worst my guy cousins was lying in every corner of the room. Dale and Vince was lying in the carpet. I almost laugh to see Petter in the table. The girls just slept in everywhere.

I tried to wake up Zenny and Kleo but they're still sleepy. I wake up Calli, goo thing she get up already. She was also shocked how messy the place is. Calli helped me to pack up the mess. I covered my nose when I smell stinky.

"Yuck! Who vomit here? Ugh!" I groaned.

Gosh! We are all wasted. We also drink before but not messy like this. I tried to wake up my cousins but they're still sleeping.

"You asshole! Got up!"

I trid to got his up. Gosh! Kleo is so heavy. (Nabitawan ko siya) when the door suddenly open. My eyes widened when I saw who entered. Even Calli was shock to see our grandparents and our parents enter the messy and chaotic room.

It's evident in there eyes that they were shock, but more evident is the disappointed look of our grandparents. I only did was to lower my head.

"This is such a big disappointment. You all, clean your mess and let's talk later" Queen Grandma emphasize the word 'your mess' before she turn her back.

I met my mother's eyes and she's really disappointed and mad. After the elders leave we lie in the couch. We can't believe that we got caught and much worst we caught wasted and messy. Obviously, that would be there reaction.

"So, let's clean up" Callista said. If there's more affected by this situation it would be Calli, she will take all the responsibility as a eldest and a future Queen.

The boys was frighten when they knew about it. We quickly clean up our mess before we go to living room. We're just silent and waiting for their scold.

"You break the rules of our Royalty Family. You did was very disappointing. How did you all did that? Did you all forgot that you are Prince and Princesses?" King Grandpa shook his head in disbelief. "Your Queen Grandma was really mad to what happen, so as punishment, all of you will face the consequences. Callista and Cassandra you're excepted."

I was locked up in my room. My cousin need to review the Hundred Rules and Laws of Royal Family and the Aeris Kingdom. They will clean up the East Wing Chambers for one week and on hour trainings. I don't know what happened to Calli, either I am.

We used to have a punishment because of our stubbornness. But this is the worst. The door open and my mother enters. I was about to give her a respect but I received an unexpected slap from her. I was stunned and hurt at the same time.

"You are really disappointing. Will you be responsible for once, Cassandra? Dont be childish and irresponsible." I didn't do anything but to bit my lower lip. "(Dinamay mo pa ang kapatid mo). Remember that you'll be the next Crown Princess and now your doing this. Ever since your father died you're being useless. Now, clean up your mess and don't disappoint me again. Do your responsibility. For once Cassandra be a Royalty"

I really tried myself to stop my tears from falling. When she step out of my room, I burst out my tears. My heart clenched to what she said. Her words is like a knives stabbing directly to my heart. I know that I'm the best but I'm trying. I'm trying to embrace the thing I'm not used to.

And it more painful that Mom mentioned Dad. I missed him already. I want to hug and asked comfort to my father. I know that I'm not Mom's favorite but it's still hurt.

"Dad...."

I just remember how free I am before. How I can do what I want and how genuinely hqp poappy I am. I actually grow up in second class coz my Mom is a daughter of a first district President. Dad chose Mom and leave a simple life far from a Prince, far from the Royal Family.

But then, it turned upside down when we step in the palace. And as we start to step in, it change my whole life. I adjusted myself to act as a princess and needed to follow rules and laws. I start my life following the rules. That's the first time that I lost my freedom.

And I was really devastated when my father died. He was assassinated while travelling in another kingdom. Because of what happened, I started to hate being a Royalty. And because of that my Mother also changed.

I roam my eyes to every corner of my room. It was full of pictures, artworks, and designs. The huge cabinet caught my attention. It's full of gifts from my Dad before. Specially, the music box with the ballerina statue.

I played it again and reminisced the day that were so happy. And again my tears started falling.

"I'm tired. I want to be free...."

Tomorrow, Callista will finally leave. We're complete in the Palace Entrance. The carriage was ready to fetch Calli. She's smiling but her eyes is full of sadness and longing. Before the carriage go she face us and we give her a comforting smile. Zammy cried after her sister leave.

"Cassandra, go to my office." Queen Grandma said.

I formally stand in front of the Queen of this Kingdom.

"Callista finally leave to Adastra Academy. So, you already know what comes next. Next week, I'll sent you to Country of Spain. They will have a Royal Gathering and we are invited. Better prepare yourself. Am I clear here, Princess Cassandra?" I nod to the Queen.

I was about to turned when Queen Grandma added her words.

"I hope you'll understand what we are doing, Cassy."

I face and smile. "I will. I'm leaving, Queen Grandma"

The day came when I will leave to go Spain. The carriage will sent me to the airport. I formally bid my goodbye. I will stay there for almost a month to interact with other royalties.

When I came to the airport there are many guards guiding and protecting me from the interviewers and commoners. Good thing, I finally step in the private plane.

The flight takes an hour before the plane landed in the airport. When I step out a long van waited for me. The guards open it for me. The car stop in a big castle of Spain.

"Princess Cassandra Felistine Limson from Adastra, Kingdom of Aeris. Welcome, your Highness" they all bow their head to me.

They warmly welcome me. Even the Queen and King and other royalties. Later, they will have a grand dinner for all invited. Their chambermaids guided me to my room. I immediately lie in the bed. I still have jetlag.

That night I was so out of place and uncomfortable. All Prince and Princesses in different countries gather here in a grand dinner. They talk about lots of things mostly about their positions. I somehow can't relate. It's obvious how they like to wear crowns in their head.

"How about you Princess Cassandra? Did you do charity works or advocacy for your Kingdom?" A Princess from other country said.

"Huh? Ah, I haven't. Princess only allows to do her duty and responsibility inside the palace. They teach us how to be a future ruler of our kingdom." I answered.

She raised her brow. Tsk, I don't like her, she's so boastful. She thinks that she's perfect by saying that she's good at this and that. Tsk.

"Oh really? What a useless. How can you be a ruler of the Kingdom if you don't know how to help your people?"

"And how hypocrite you are by saying that? A princess helping people without knowing the laws, rights and rules of her own kingdom? How can you say that it's useless? Did you know the rules, laws of your Kingdom? How can you help your people without knowing what they really need?" She was surprised to my answer. She didn't even open her mouth to justify more.

See? How come they have this kind of royalties that always think about their positions. They boast themselves to show that they are higher than a commoners.

I was having a fresh air in their veranda. It shows underneath the city lights. The people who need help from a good leader. People who just live a simple life without knowing how hard to be this high.

"Hey, you!" I turn around and saw the princess earlier. She's beautiful but not so smart. She's wearing a branded and glamorous gown partnered with a silver stilleto. Specially, her Ruby tiara.

"How could you embarrassed me in front of them? Did you know who I am? I am Princess Erika from Dallion Kingdom, you better know your place" she said with her b***h look.

"Well, I'm not interested to know who you are. And for your information, I already know my place. See yah..." I put a playful smile and wave my hand. "Ah, wait, just a piece of advice, learn to read books, not just focusing on putting make ups. Thank me later."

I smirk before I turn my back at her. Don't she ever mess up with the princess with a grudge. Tsk, dull royalties.
